Full job description
As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing server-side architecture for web and mobile applications. This includes creating and maintaining databases, server-side logic, and APIs. Additionally, you will also be responsible for performance optimization, security, and scalability of the application. Other duties will include mentoring junior developers, working closely with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration, and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and implement server-side architecture for web and mobile applications
- Create and maintain databases, server-side logic, and APIs
- Optimize application performance, scalability and security
- Mentor junior developers and provide guidance and technical expertise
- Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration between the front-end and back-end
- Stay current with the latest technologies and industry trends and continuously improve development processes
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in the application
- Ensure code quality and maintainability
- Participate in project planning and estimation, and work with project managers to meet project timelines and deliverables
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in NodeJS.
- Experience with database management systems, such as MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL Strong understanding of web services and API development
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of software development principles, such as Agile and Scrum
- Experience with performance optimization and scalability techniques
- Strong understanding of security best practices and experience with implementing security measures
- Experience mentoring junior developers
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Experience with any specific framework or library is a plus.
