Our teams and beneficiaries at Roia Foundation, Subul, and Turnsole Technologies are devastated by the earthquake that hit Syria and this week, and they are at the heart of the catastrophe. Our thoughts and prayers are with affected team members, their beloved ones and everyone impacted by this disaster.
We have reports from the affected locations from some of our personnel, that most of our host communities are under rubbles and we can’t reach them or count for them, along with thousands of children and families under destroyed buildings. We are devastated, sad, and can barely function as the horror stories continue to shock us.
The extreme cold weather, war-torn towns and infrastructure, lack of hospital space and medications, and limited aid has made the situation in Syria far worse than its neighboring Turkey. Aid arriving in Syria is limited and local, and faces a lot of obstacles that defeats the purpose of accessing aid as soon as possible in such cases.
Rescue teams and relief organisations already on the ground who need your support and donations to continue rescuing and providing aid. We need you to show solidarity for human kind.

We are looking for a Finance Officer based in Istanbul, Turkey to take charge of the financial and administrations tasks of Turnsole and administering accounting operations to meet legal requirements.

You should be familiar with audits, invoices and budget preparations. Our ideal candidate demonstrates interest in managing accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable. You should also have excellent organizational skills and be able to handle time-sensitive tasks.

Ultimately, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of our financial transactions, and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Keep accurate records for all daily transactions
- Prepare balance sheets
- Process invoices
- Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Update internal systems with financial data
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
- Reconcile bank statements
- Participate in financial audits
- Track bank deposits and payments
- Assist with budget preparation
- Review and implement financial policies
- Assisting in implementing HR policies and procedures
- Track the timesheets of the staff
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role
- Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
- Experience using Quickbooks online software
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Knowledge of financial regulations in Turkey
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Sharp time management skills
- Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
- BSc degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- Proficiency in Arabic and Turkish is considered plus

Turnsole team has developed their corporate website to improve the online visibility and facilitate the communication channels with their clients.
