Hey Tekkies & Dive Pros,
After the recent tragedy in the Maldives, where five divers lost their lives, this is not a week for speculation, blame, or internet certainty.
Families are grieving. Investigations will take their course. The respectful thing we can do as divers is not to assume expertise from a distance, but to look hard at the parts of diving that are always ours to own.
Training. Currency. Capacity. Judgment. Limits. The willingness to call a dive before the ocean calls it for us.
This week's selection is built around that idea. Restraint. Humility. Better training. And for every diver who has ever needed permission to say, “Not today.”
