Today I’m reflecting on the women who quietly hold the world together.
The women who build families while building dreams.
💜The women who show up tired but faithful.
💜The women who nurture everyone else while still learning how to nurture themselves.
This year feels especially personal for me. 🙌
Before I became Elijah’s mom, there was another chapter of my story. My daughter Azizah. Though her time with us was brief, the love she left in my heart is permanent. Losing her reshaped me in ways I’m still discovering. It deepened my compassion, my faith, and my understanding of how powerful a mother’s love truly is.
Then Elijah came, and with him a new season of healing and joy. Becoming his mother changed the way I see womanhood. I see more clearly now how much strength, patience, sacrifice, and love lives inside women every single day. The quiet leadership that happens in homes, communities, workplaces, and churches often goes unseen, but it shapes the future more than we realize.
As a creative and entrepreneur from the Caribbean, my journey has been built step by step through learning, growing, and staying committed to the work placed in front of me. Along the way, I’ve been supported and inspired by incredible women who encouraged me when the path was uncertain.
🙇♀️ Women who prayed.
🙋♀️ Women who advised.
💁♀️ Women who simply showed up.
I’m grateful for the women who raised me, the women who walk beside me, and the women I now have the privilege of pouring into.
And I’m learning something beautiful in this season of life: success is not only what we build professionally, but the love, stability, and values we create for the people entrusted to us.
To every woman who is building a business, raising a family, healing, growing, leading, or simply doing her best today, you matter more than you know.
May we continue to support one another, extend grace freely, and build communities where women and families can truly thrive.
Happy International Women’s Day. 💜
