Distance and Speed Clinic with 🚀📉

Last week, XView had the privilege of hosting 2022 World Long Drive Champion Martin Borgmeier at Miramar Golf Country Club in Taiwan. While the 400-yard drives were spectacular, the real highlight was the deep dive into the future of golf biomechanics and AI technology.

During the Golf AI Forum hosted by TIGA’s Steven Weng .steven and our Founder, Winston Yang , Martin shared critical insights on why modern training must evolve beyond tradition.

Here are the key takeaways from his visit:

1. “Feel is not Real” 🧠

Martin emphasized a crucial concept: even elite professionals often experience a disconnect between what they feel they are doing and what their body is actually doing. He demonstrated that objective data is the only way to bridge this gap and correct mechanical flaws efficiently.

2. The Democratization of Sports Science 🔬

Historically, detailed swing analysis required expensive 3D motion capture labs. During the demo, we showcased how XView’s AI technology brings that same level of skeletal tracking and analysis directly to your smartphone, making pro-level data accessible to every golfer.

3. Efficiency Over Raw Power ⚡

Long driving isn’t just about strength; it’s about physics. Martin used XView AI to illustrate how optimizing ground force and kinematic sequencing allows golfers to generate massive speed without unnecessary exertion.
