Regret for the past is like a peach that you threw down. The peach is gone, but you are full of remorse. You regret throwing it away. You would like to return it. It seems to me that the best way to enjoy the moment is not to grieve about the past. Regret pulls you down, pulls you back into the past, while you need to move forward. It is hard and unpleasant to lose in a trade, but it is even harder and more unpleasant to suffer from feelings of guilt about it. We all do things that we later regret. Sometimes they seem to us to be big mistakes, but later, looking back, we see how insignificant our transgressions really were. The gnawing feelings of guilt that regret can only bring you sleepless nights. But I am convinced that the past is the past. It cannot be changed. And even if you really did something wrong, it's too late to regret - you have to go forward.
