AFV Partners is seeking a talented Cybersecurity Engineer with an investigative mindset, critical-thinking attitude, and solid problem-solving skills to join our team and assist in driving the protection of our international resources. The cybersecurity team at AFV Partners is responsible for leading cybersecurity efforts across a broad set of security disciplines. Our team provides an integrated security ecosystem of security controls to prevent, detect, and respond to security, fraud, risk and privacy issues.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage security tools such as Palo Alto firewalls, Nessus scans, MS 365 Defender, AWS security tools, Proofpoint tools, Jira case management, and more.
- Research specific threat issues via threat modeling.
- Assist with the development of architectural security standards and best practices documentation.
- Assist in the development of a governance program.
- Identify problems with security processes and recommend/implement solutions to resolve or improve processes.
- Assist in conducting periodic reviews to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintain a broad knowledge of technology, equipment and/or systems to include the configuration, maintenance, analysis and use of computer forensics tools, metadata tools, audit reduction tools, firewalls, various operating systems, etc.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Cybersecurity certification such as SSCP, CCNA-Security, Security+, CEH, etc.
- Knowledge and experience with performing information system continuous monitoring of security controls.
- Working knowledge analyzing and documenting security control deficiencies and system vulnerabilities.
- Working knowledge in securing cloud environments.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- At least 2 years in incident management or related duties.
- Must be able to function in a dynamic environment subject to impromptu changes in schedules and priorities.
- Works well under pressure and within aggressive time constraints.
