Japanese developer discovers a way to erase your face using iPhone X

This Japanese developer uses an iPhone X to make his face disappear
If Harry Potter’s invisibility cloak had fascinated you, then Apple iPhone X’s Face ID camera might have something to interest you.
In a tweet first spotted by Design Taxi, Kazuya Nosiro, a Japanese app developer and CEO of game development company ViRD, released a 10-second video clip, that shows his face completely camouflaged, except for his eyes and mouth, into his surroundings in a trick of ‘optical camouflage’.
The app (is still a work-in-progress) that Noshiro used to make the trick possible was made on the game development platform ‘Unity’. To pre-record the background of the room, Noshiro first used a fixed camera. Then, he used the app to camouflage his face and replaced it with the background image using iPhone X’s TrueDepth camera face detection capability and Apple’s ARKit development platform. However, the eyes, the hair, and rest of the body were still visible.
“If you want to make your face transparent, we’re recruiting,” Noshiro joked.
Check out the video below to see it for yourself:

The app is likely to be exclusive to owners of Apple’s flagship device. However, it is not known when this app will be released and what the app may be actually used for.

Here is a ‘Do it yourself’ PC that costs just $20. Pretty impressive right?
The Orange Pi One Plus should not be confused with the Chinese smartphone manufacturer but for $20, this board is an ‘all in one’ PC that features everything if you want to carry out light work. Starting off, the Orange Pi One Plus has an Allwinner H6 chipset that sports a quad-core processor. More accurately, there are four Cortex-A53 cores that can easily handle basic tasks.
The powerful Mali-T720 GPU is able to display 4K HDR video, which promises richer colors and higher brightness. While there has been no way that we know of in which you will be able to run Windows 10, it can run Android 7.0 and features a host of ports ranging from a GbE port, and an HDMI 2.0a port. In short, if you cannot transform it into a PC, then it can definitely turn into a very capable Android media player.

The Allwinner H6 should not be taken lightly because it can provide H.265 6K at 30fps video decoding and H.264 4K at 30fps video encoding. This SoC can also handle 10-bit HDR10 technology with ‘intelligent noise reduction’, improved interlacing, and intelligent color enhancement. There are some tradeoffs, such as the I/O, which just includes a single USB 2.0 port and not even a 3.0 port.
Still, for $20 there is no way that you can go wrong with this. If you are going to be transforming this into a capable Android media player then you will need to find some way to put this board into an enclosure.
Specifications of the Orange Pi One Plus:
Allwinner H6 chipset with 4 x Cortex-A53 cores and an ARM Mali-T720 MP2 GPU
1GB LPDDR3 RAM
microSD slot (up to 32GB)
Networking: 10/100/1000Mbit Ethernet port
HDMI 2.0a with audio and HDCP 2.2 output
USB 2.0 port
microUSB 2.0 OTG port with power input
Mic input
3-pin GPIO with UART and ground
26-pin GPIO expansion connector
Supported operating systems: Android 7.0 with Ubuntu and Debian images in testing
