What if a car could bring happiness? What if a bus could bring people together?
That’s what six-year-old Dariona Gibson Nyehangane and 10-year-old Natasha Mahoro Williams imagined.
Dariona’s “Lonely-Lifting Smiling Car” (a car imagined to bring happiness) and Natasha’s “The Dispute-Melter Peace Bus” (a bus imagined to promote peace) have earned them Best Finalist recognition at the 19th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest.
Their artworks were selected from approximately 260,000 entries across 87 countries and regions, putting two young Ugandan dreamers among the 21 Best Finalists globally.
As part of their achievement, each child received USD 3,000 towards their education and a commemorative award plaque from Toyota Motor Corporation.
