We at Tek-Work want to remind all our friends in small businesses to not fall for scams. If a job sounds too good to be true, it is.
The Current Scam:
Person inquires about a job and requests a quote
They agree to the price immediately without negotiating
They offer to overpay significantly as a "down payment"
They claim to be unreachable by phone due to a medical emergency
They ask you to forward cash to a third party "driver" out of the overpayment
Their payment method is fraudulent, leaving you out the cash you sent
Red Flags:
Overpayment with no negotiation
Suddenly unavailable by phone
Mystery third party needing cash payment
Requests involving gift cards, crypto, or wire transfers
Remember: No legitimate customer overpays and asks you to forward money to someone else. When in doubt, trust your gut and pass on the job. See attached pictures... we couldn't help but troll!
Stay safe out there! 💪

⚠️ Warranty ≠ Guarantee — Know Your Power Before It Fades

Just because your device is acting up doesn’t mean you have to pay out of pocket.

Too many customers end up paying for repairs on issues they never caused—simply because they didn’t know the rules manufacturers hope you forget.

Since you invested in your device, you deserve to protect it:

✅ Register Your Device
It takes 2 minutes and can save you hundreds.

✅ Know the Terms
Warranties aren’t universal. Some cover only parts, others include labor. Some expire the moment you open the device. You don’t need a law degree to understand that.

✅ Document Everything
Keep your proof of purchase and snap a picture of your serial number. If problems began before your warranty expired, you’re in a strong position.

✅ Don’t Let Time Run Out
A weird crash or random shutdown might be signs of something serious. If it’s under warranty, escalate your claim immediately to safeguard your rights.

❌ Avoid Oversharing Details with the Claims Department
They’re trained to search for loopholes. Let Tek-Work handle the technicalities.

🔧 At Tek-Work, we diagnose fast and fight for your rights.
If your issue is fixable under warranty, we’ll tell you—even if that means you don’t pay a dime.

Because real tech shops don’t milk problems.
We solve them—or send them back to the ones responsible.

📢 ‼️ SCAM ALERT ‼️
DO NOT CALL. DO NOT CLICK.
Many of our customers—including us—have received an email pretending to confirm a software subscription you never purchased. Here’s what to look for:

🚩 Red Flags in the Email:
🔻 The subject line says:

“Fw: Order is being processed #074330”
But the sender isn’t McAfee, Norton, or any known provider.

🔻 The sender domain is:

bescoseating.com
Which is not affiliated with any antivirus company.

🔻 The email claims you were charged a large amount (e.g., $349.49) and gives you a “Support” number to cancel.

🔻 They won’t verify what account was used, deflect questions, and get hostile when asked for real transaction details.

🧠 How the Scam Works:
Shock Value: You’re told you were charged for something expensive.

Urgency: They push you to call immediately to “cancel.”

Remote Access: They convince you to install software that gives them access to your computer.

Bank Info: They’ll try to trick you into revealing sensitive bank or login credentials.

Hostile Exit: If you challenge them, they’ll hang up.

✅ How to Verify It’s a Scam:
✔️ You didn’t buy it? Then you weren’t charged.
✔️ No invoice ID, no legitimate billing contact, no proper sender domain.
✔️ Call your bank directly—never use the number in the email.
✔️ Use logic: They won’t tell you what account was charged? That’s a scam.

🔐 Stay Safe:
🛡️ Never give remote access to strangers.
🛡️ Never call numbers from suspicious emails.
🛡️ When in doubt, forward the email to us or ask!
