S I M P L Y S T U N N I N G
When you have a large foyer, you need to have a CENTERPIECE that draws you in and draws your eyes up and ordinary won’t do it….you need EXTRAORDINARY!
That was the situation we faced in our recent Gull Lake project with 42 North - Architecture + Design, we had a foyer that was 19x16x16 that needed to not only draw you IN to the space, but to cause you to gaze UP at the SIMPLE, but STUNNING architectural details.
We knew that ordinary just wouldn’t cut it, so we worked with our manufacturer to CREATE this ONE-OF-A-KIND piece that not only filled the space and drew your vision up, but it used MIXED METAL finishes to compliment the DESIGN aesthetic the client desired.
Additionally, we HIGHLIGHTED the piece with a second layer of lighting by ACCENTING the entire cove with light….when you build your DREAM home, it’s IMPORTANT to have your ARCHITECTURAL and LIGHTING team on the same page!
In this instance, since we were the ELECTRICIAN on the project, as well as INTEGRATOR and LIGHTING DESIGNER, we were able to CREATE this with a smaller team, but ALL of these roles needs to be considered when building….
1 - The LIGHTING DESIGNER will determine PLACEMENT and DEVELOP the lighting LAYERS to accent the ARCHITECT’S design.
2 - The ELECTRICIAN will INSTALL and POWER the lighting FIXTURES.
3 - The INTEGRATOR will CONTROL the layers of lighting to create the PERFECT lighting scene every time!
Projects like this only come together by having a TEAM that the client TRUSTS to bring the VISION from paper to REALITY!
