UPS and United States Postal Service are already seeing measurable results from AI in their logistics operations. For many others, AI is running but still has nothing to show for it.

We analyzed AI projects run by logistics companies from 2023 to 2026 to understand what happens after launch. 80.5% of the projects reached live operations, but only 30.5% reported a measured improvement in time, cost, accuracy or output. Another 34.4% had no measurable result on record, and 7.0% were paused, stalled or discontinued for reasons such as cost, technology readiness and funding. These projects report results show AI is working well.

Your digital transformation keeps failing, and it's almost never the technology's fault. Only 𝟴% of failures trace back to the tech. The other 𝟵𝟮% fail for reasons that have nothing to do with the software.

Our CEO went looking for the real answer. He studied real, publicly documented accounts of failed and stalled transformations, pulled from Reddit, Hacker News, and LinkedIn.

What he found was that the single most cited cause wasn't resistance to change. It was leadership and governance: weak ownership, no accountable sponsor, and executives treating go-live as the finish line instead of the start. That pattern showed up in 39% of the accounts.
