More than 4 years in the planning and a year under construction. We have restored the facade of 376-378 Broadway back to its original historical storefront and provided much needed repairs to the brickwork, windows, lintels and cornice. Built in 1849, it is currently home to McGreevy ProLab & ProPress which has been in business for over 35 years and at this location for 30 years.

John G. Waite Architects (John G. Waite, Assoc, Arch.) - Call it a stroke of luck to have one of the nation’s leading historic preservation architecture firms as a neighbor. John G. Waite Associates have taken an enthusiastic interest in this project from its earliest stages.

Albany Artisans (Christoher Hacker) - Christopher Hacker and his crew are top notch craftsmen who specialize in the revival of historic buildings. They have been instrumental throughout.

Fazio Masonry (Fazio Masonry) - As a multi-generational family of bricklayers, brothers Anthony and Marcello Fazio proudly carry forward a fine tradition. We were lucky to have the expertise of Fazio Masonry on this project.

More than 4 years in the planning and a year under construction. We have restored the facade of 376-378 Broadway back to its original historical storefront and provided much needed repairs to the brickwork, windows, lintels and cornice. Built in 1849, it is currently home to McGreevy ProLab & ProPress which has been in business for over 35 years and at this location for 30 years.

Working in the photo lab, we often see historic photos that spark our imagination. One photo from the 1920’s of our city block revealed our building’s original facade: beautiful traditional wood framing, panel bulkheads, and large display windows with transoms (our existing storefront featured aluminum trim, slate tiles and a double entryway angled back from the street which clashes with the block’s historic character). But that is not all, on closer inspection of the photo we found something that really intrigued us, a balcony railing at the second floor. We always wondered why our second-floor windows span from floor to ceiling; this explains it! Come to find out, this style of railing is rare in the northeast. What a discovery!
