Of all the deliberate chaos, the loss of public lands doesn’t often make the headlines, but it’s happening at an alarming rate.

Since Trump took office he has signed executive orders allowing and incentivizing corporations to develop BLM and national forest lands. They illegally fired thousands of DOI and USDA employees, gutted park services and resources and even revoked protections from some protected national monuments. Our public lands are some of the most precious resources for us, future generations and the plants and animals that depend on them.

Follow to stay on top of the seemingly endless and fast paced changes that are happening right now and look to local land based non-profits to support and state governments to write to ask for increased funding and protections for your public lands.

A percentage of profits from this year’s art sales will go to who advocate for New Mexican wild spaces, water and wildlife.

10 years ago today
🌵✨

I feel incredibly lucky to be married to this man and now parenting along side him and immensely grateful for our community both at that time and now.

I’ve been having so many fond memories today of pulling this day together with the help of friends and family. No wedding planner, no fancy anything really. We got married in our dear friend’s parents back yard. My gals made their own bouquets with flowers we picked ourselves from friends gardens and a local wholesaler. My friend and I raided a local fabric store for the most fun tassels and trim to decorate the cacti. Our favorite farm to table restaurant made the most delicious enchiladas and our amazingly talented friend made my favorite blueberry lemon Sonoran white wheat cake 🎂. Costco sized bottles of Jameson whiskey for our toasts and even our favorite NM band, Le Chat Lunatique made the drive down… I think that was the most expensive part of the day and totally worth it 🙃 little did I realize that we’d be moving to NM less than 2 years later!

So cheers to as many more years as we walk this earth 🥃

Like many of you, I’ve been feeling overwhelmed, dismayed and frightened by the current situation in the US and the world at large. I’m trying to figure out how I want to show up with my art and design in these times and to continue to speak to and work towards the future I still believe is possible in my heart of hearts.

We need creatives now, more than ever. We need community now more than ever and we need courage now, more than ever.

I’m asking myself a couple of things a lot these days, what do I care about most *right now* that I can focus on and fight for and how can I work on this locally, because that is where we can make our biggest impact.

How are you doing right now? How are you practicing self care? What cause is your beacon for fighting the good fight?

Please share the last slide in you’re stories if you also believe in the power of community & creativity, hope & healthy soil 💛

Six months ago I would not have guessed that this holiday season would have been busy with art prints, hand painted ornaments and markets. It’s been a whirlwind and pretty exhausting for our family, but also loads of fun and so gratifying to talk about my art with strangers and to witness people moved by my work.

The cusp of the year always feels like the I am on the brink of birthing of something new in my business. As the ideas continue to swirl, I know that 2025 will bring growth of one kind or another as well as unforeseen challenges, and I hope to meet them both with curiosity and intention.

I’m looking forward to taking the slower (post holiday) winter season to dream, vision, set goals and plan for my upcoming year with Seedpod. Fortunately, I have some wonderful client work lined up for the first quarter to keep me in line 🙃.

🍾 cheers to intention and integration in 2025. And to the friends and family and others supporting and inspiring the journey.

With the little bit of extra time between these last two markets, and because I didn’t need to make a lot of new prints, I was able to make a handful of these sweeties 🤩

Wood burned ornaments! Each one is hand burned and entirely one of a kind. They will be for sale exclusively at the but I can make them for sale and ship if I have leftovers (same for the ceramic ornaments)

I am excited to share a sample of my one-of-a-kind hand painted ornaments that will be available exclusively at the this Saturday!

It has been so fun (and a little daunting) dipping my toes back into painting and I think these ornaments have turned out so beautifully!

There is a very limited supply of them (10!) so if you want to get your hands on them, come on the early side.

If you’re on my email newsletter, no one has yet claimed the special offer, so get on it if you’re planning on attending the market this Saturday.

Happy making & happy holidays!

My first year selling my own artwork has been a series of highs and lows so far. My first market was a wild success and my second was the exact opposite.

Both these scenarios were filled with opportunities for growth and seeing them this way has helped keep me stay grounded and able to focus on my next goal.

(Let’s pause to appreciate the new booth branding and set up with BIG thanks to who printed my banner and stencil, and all my prints and stickers - and to my husband who built that amazing pegboard display - AND to for being the biggest sweeties and lending me their table/tent for the market season - I 💕 this community so much)

One perk of having a slow second market was that I have so much less work to do to prepare for the and I can focus on a few fun new additions I was hoping to bring and really elevating my booth and customer experience!

Even though the sales were poor, I was still able to enjoy myself because I got to share a table with an incredible fellow artist and friend ! Check out her beautiful paintings and ceramics and if you’re in the area, you can find her originals at

Tickets are available now for the - which will be SO cute and festive and an excellent market for rounding off any last minute holiday shopping with local artists and vendors, sipping cocoa and being serenaded by the NM gay men’s choir while your partner and kids ride the trolley with Santa 🎄

My first holiday market was a success! This was my first time selling a new collection of work in over a decade and while it’s always a little scary to put my heart out there, it’s the most rewarding thing in the world to witness others appreciate my art and to find connection. Thanks to everyone who came by and to everyone who brought some artwork home 🥰

Thank you to .planet.refill for hosting and congrats on a great first holiday market!

Thanks especially to my talented and wonderful husband for building my amazing display in your precious evening hours in the week leading up to the event. As well as taking extra shifts with Alma so I could paint and prep. I couldn’t have done it without you.

You can fine me and my work at two more markets this holiday season - the Los Cerrillos Winter Market on December 7th sharing a space with the endlessly talented and lovely and at the on December 21.

I have had some inquiries into shipping and while I intend to list my art online *after* the holidays, I can manage a limited number of online purchases and shipments before then. Reach out via DM if you’re interested.

This poem, this doodle, a somatic practice held so generously by .embodiment.institute - for feeling and moving through grief and rage and fear and all we carry, together. Lunch with a dear friend at a small diner while a wet snow fell outside. These are what I managed yesterday.

Last night we drove south to Tucson. It happened to coincide with NMs first snowstorm and something about trying to out drive the storm felt apt in the wake of this election. We’re a little sad to miss the snow, but more excited to bring Alma to the city where my husband and I met. The one that shaped our young adult lives and instilled my connection with the desert southwest ecosystems and still holds so many of our loved ones.

May we rest in each other, finding support in the connective tissue of our relationships. The liminal, the silence, the spaces between breaths. What is this unbearable weight on our shoulders - tugging our hearts and nervous systems to breaking point? Does the collective bearing make the burden bearable? Can we hold up the world that it might not collapse on the backs of starlings so that they can remain in their splendid dancing?
