Thermo Fisher Scientific performed an 18-month review on current security robot options. Thermo Fisher’s required deliverables:
1. Long patrolling and short charging times with continuous security monitoring while charging
2. A security robot platform for company-wide acceptance
3. Thermo-approved sensing capabilities with the ability to add sensors
4. Ability to communicate through the robot to individuals if necessary
5. The Thermo Fisher Carlsbad campus is their largest site at over 600,000 sq ft. The company requires a robot that will successfully navigate large areas and varied terrain.
