This just popped up in the memory feed. What a beautiful project to be involved in! I have such great memories of this entire two-summer process. The mural at Washington Middle School still looks as good today as it did when it was finished. It was definitely worth raising the extra funds to use Nova Color paints!

And look at those smiling faces! Those kids are all adults now, forging their own paths in the world. I wish them all the best and hope they remember this time as fondly as we do ❤️

Well that was a nice surprise! Being honored by the Albuquerque Public Schools Board of Education for Outstanding Public Service is something that doesn’t happen every day. Ripe, Inc. is proud to be a part of this incredible team responsible for the Washington Middle School mural. Honorees: Working Classroom & two artist apprentices; artist nani Chacon; film teacher, Dominic Pettine; WMS student artists and student videographers; Principal Angela Rodriguez. Huge thanks to all volunteers, donors, kids and neighbors who helped make it a reality! Phase 2 in 2016… stay tuned.

So grateful for the opportunity to help bring NM Spirit to life.

As part of a nationwide effort marking the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, every state was invited to create its own commemoration. We were selected to develop New Mexico’s contribution, including the name, brand identity, and core story. The resulting system reflects the state’s history, culture, and enduring spirit. NM Spirit is our year-long commemoration throughout 2026.

Created in collaboration with the New Mexico Tourism Department / Marketing Center of Excellence and the Department of Cultural Affairs. Huge thanks to Hopper for her steady leadership and for keeping a complex project moving forward with clarity, positivity, and purpose.

Thanks for the trust, and the thoughtful partnership throughout.

Back in August 2024, our neighbors in Old Town asked if Ripe could help re-imagine the long neglected adobe arch at San Felipe and Central as part of a Route 66 Centennial grant. The goal was not just to design a sign but to turn a corner with no pedestrian access into a welcoming entrance that celebrates walkability, local businesses, and community.

What was once a neglected corner is now a true gateway, glowing with the spirit of Route 66 and inviting everyone to stroll in and stay a while.

Big shout to our neighbors in Old Town (Historic Old Town Association) for trusting us with this design challenge and to Zeon Signs for engineering and crafting the neon-style LED sign that captures the character of classic Route 66 neon. ❤️

Swipe through to see how we helped New Mexico Pinon Coffee organize, unify, and elevate their branding system for future growth.

This remarkable company started small in 1994, selling coffee blended with piñons out of the back of a vintage pickup truck. Today, they sell New Mexico–inspired flavored coffees nationwide.

Over the years, the company grew, but the branding didn’t keep up. Flavored coffees, syrups, K-Cups, and shops appeared at different times and ended up looking like distant cousins. Related, but not quite in sync. With a new unflavored coffee line coming, the old system was out of runway. So we brought everyone around the table, stripped things back, listened to their customers, and got to the heart of what makes this brand tick.

We updated the logo and built a modular design system that keeps the familiar red bag for flavored coffee, introduces bold yellow for unflavored, and adds clarity with color-coded labels that make shelf navigation easy. Now everything from packaging, marketing tools, vehicle wraps, and shop signage feels like a true close-knit family.

It’s not just better looking. It works better too, inside the company and out in the world. A smarter system with plenty of room to grow.

Insider tip: the new 5312 Blend Medium Roast has quickly become our favorite coffee at Ripe Inc. Delicious! ❤️

2024 Wrap-Up: What a Year!

Looking back on the wild ride that was 2024, we’re struck by how deeply we’ve been immersed in meaningful work. It’s been a year of creative digging and peeling, which meant less time for social media, but the projects we tackled were especially big, bold, and rewarding. Here are a few highlights:

American Home Furniture and Mattress: We refreshed the brand for this iconic business, a trusted name in Albuquerque since 1936, ensuring it remains the go-to destination for furniture seekers across New Mexico for generations to come.

Route 66 Centennial: We’re thrilled to create the brand identity for this eight-state celebration. Partnering with the City of Albuquerque and Visit Albuquerque, we’re helping honor Route 66 in a fun, inclusive way.

Hotel Andaluz Albuquerque: Our work with this historic landmark is under wraps, but we’re excited to see it evolve into a vibrant hub for locals, businesses, and tourists in the heart of downtown.

The : In partnership with the City of Albuquerque and the late Antoine Predock, we branded this 7-mile urban trail connecting neighborhoods, cultural spots, and the bosque. It will be a game-changer for . As downtowners since 1994, we couldn’t be prouder to contribute.

Transitions💰: Three clients sold their businesses last year, and the branding systems we developed added value and ensured smooth transitions, proving the importance of brand alignment and customer experience.

Beverage Rebrand: Stay tuned for a rebrand of one of New Mexico’s largest non-alcoholic beverage brands.

Thank you for trusting us to tell your stories and build inspiring brands. We’re just grateful. That’s it in a nutshell. Looking forward to more creativity, connection, and brand power in 2025! Cheers! 🍻

If it's already a regional champ, we'll work to get you nationally ranked, with an eye on the championship belt. 🏆 We'll get you in shape, maximize your training, and always be in your corner. 🥇

Sol Housing, formerly known as the Greater Albuquerque Housing Partnership (GAHP), is an amazing not-for-profit organization here in . They specialize in the planning, design, construction, and management of multi-family housing communities that are affordable, creating beautiful, stable, comfortable environments where residents don’t just survive, but flourish 🌱. They approached us to help peel back the layers, articulate their core values, and gain insight into their identity and public perception. This all led to developing a new name and brand identity - never an easy process - but we definitely had fun working together 😊. The new name and logo evoke the warmth, light, and hope that Sol Housing brings to the community, symbolizing the comfort and security of home ownership 🏡.

Turning to the visual representation of these values, the logo design (with a little wink 😉) draws inspiration from clay sun decorations commonly found on porches of homes in New Mexico. At the center of the sun, the friendly face symbolizes the organization's dedication to creating not just physical structures but also nurturing environments that encourage human connection and prioritize the well-being and happiness of the people who live and work in our communities.

The chosen design was by our talented Jacobo De la Rosa, who hails from Ciudad Juárez, holds a BA in Graphic Design from the University of Texas, and now contributes his expertise here in at Ripe; he brings fun, boldness, humor, and valuable skills to our team.

From concept to reality! 😍 Seeing our year-long brand building journey with American Home Furniture and Mattress come to life is beyond rewarding. It’s even more special for me personally. When I first moved to ABQ in 1994, I had just $200 to my name and didn’t know a soul. My first job was with American Home, which makes this feel like a fantastic full-circle.

We designed this branding system a while ago but seeing it now in its large-scale glory – facing the world from the façade of their new, custom-built flagship store – is very special. Had a blast at the official opening and ribbon cutting, last night. This company has been at the heart of the community for over 80 years, and now, as they look to the future, we are tickled pink to be a part of their journey.
