Floridians will not be surprised to know that we've been tracking a lot of spending surrounding gambling in the state. As it has expanded, many groups have formed to persuade voters one way or the other. Currently, most of the spending is in opposition to future expansions of gambling rights, but we'll continue to track spending as things progress.

During the pandemic, Americans cut the cord at much higher rates than they had previously, which means more and more households are reachable exclusively through CTV and streaming platforms. This means advertisers big and small are putting more and more money into CTV advertising.

In the Virginia Governor's race this year, we saw approximately $850K spent on CTV by the candidates; $520K from McAuliffe and $330K from Youngkin. We also saw an estimated $150K from coordinated buys with the McAuliffe campaign and the Democratic Governors Association as well as the American Federation of Teachers.
