Long Way Home mini series drops this week with Hulk, Punisher and Spider-Man. You would be hard pressed to get a better creative team than this. Hickman and Kubert. It’s like having Wayne Gretzky and Gordie Howe play together in their prime. Absolute masters of their art.

We sold out of Avengers Armageddon #1 but I’m looking to put another order in for first prints.

It’s such a fun read.

The following is slightly spoilery of some elements in the first issue so don’t read further if you don’t want to know.

I just read it and it’s amazing. It runs off the Red Hulk Storyline, One World Under Doom and pulls back David Colton, a man who enlisted after 911/ became a Super Soldier and took over the mantle of Captain America for a period of time.

In the story he’s not back as Captain America, General Thunderbolt Ross as Red Hulk is raising an army to fight the U.N. because he’s done with bureaucracy and his Authoritarian leadership will keep problems like Doom ever happening again. The powers that be have demanded Superheroes stay out of the conflict but Tony Stark and the Avengers have something else in mind.

DC today announced that Absolute Catwoman #1 will return to press for a second printing, arriving in comics shops on July 15.
