What is ransomware?
Ransomware exploits a company or users data due to inadequate data backup, network segmentation, or recovery programs. And it starts by clicking a link in a unknown email or opening an email attachment. This is how the malware is installed on the user's PC. Phishing emails also help spread malware as well. 😟
Best practice, when in doubt delete the email and do not open the attachment or click on links in the email.
