am of operators and consultants have all established their careers in industry-specific business processes and technology solutions. 5Q understands the intricacies and inner workings of commercial real estate's legacy technology systems. The name 5Q originated from years of “fifth quarter” conversations following college football games when our founding partners spent hours talking about their work as technology professionals. They wanted to make the utilization and adoption of technology better for their employers, their team members, and themselves. They wanted business leaders to look at technology as a key component of their business growth and not just email, phones, and servers, and start to view it as the key to their business growth. Each of our founding and executive partners brings a unique skill set, and every client gets the benefit of our entire breadth of experience that leverages more than 100 years of combined technology experience as well as decades of industry-specific business processes and technology solutions in commercial real estate.

Today we recognize Juneteenth.
At 5Q, we take time today to reflect, to listen, and to continue learning.
Because progress is something we have to keep showing up for.

5Q is headed to Apartmentalize.
And this year, we’re showing up stronger.
With One11 now part of 5Q, we’ve been bringing application support, cybersecurity, and technology strategy together in a more connected way across Multifamily and CRE portfolios.
If you’ll be there, let’s connect and talk about what that actually looks like in practice.

A cyber assessment should do more than point out issues.
It should help you understand what matters most, what needs attention first, and what it will take to fix it.
That is how you walk into budgeting season with confidence instead of questions.
If you are trying to build a real plan, start here.
👉 Book your cyber assessment now.

We wish this was a joke… but weak and reused passwords are still one of the easiest ways to get into a system.
And in CRE, that doesn’t just mean IT risk.
It can impact building systems, vendor access, tenant platforms… everything.
A password manager is one of the simplest upgrades you can make.
Stronger passwords, no reuse, and way less room for error.
It’s not complicated. It’s just often overlooked.

Cyber risk has changed.
What your environment looked like a few years ago is almost guaranteed not where it is today.
New vendors, new systems, new exposure.
If you have not reassessed recently, you are likely operating off an outdated view of risk.
Now is a good time to reset and see where things actually stand.
👉 Schedule your cyber assessment before year-end.

Hot take: firewalls don’t stop social engineering.
And in CRE, the targets aren’t just IT.
Attackers will call, text, or show up “as a vendor” because they know property teams are built for speed and service.

Red Teams test the real-world stuff:
Do we verify before granting access?
Do we segment property systems?
Do we catch suspicious activity fast enough?
Because when it’s a building system, “oops” becomes an operations problem.
