We are here to promote the Amateur Radio hobby, and to encourage Members and Visitors alike to explore the Hobby of Ham and all that is available out there related to the hobby. We meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month, except in July. Meetings are held at 7:00pm at the Sitting Bull Academy in Apple Valley, California except for the December meeting which is held elsewhere. Tonight! Tuesday May 19, 2026 at 7pm, location is at the Vista Del Rosa Clubhouse, 22241 Nisqually Rd., Apple Valley, California 92308.
Our presentation this month will be from Clint Bradford, K6LCS, regarding working ham satellites. He will give a Zoom presentation.
Doug Iversen, N6DJI, will have shirts for those who already ordered them, plus patches, stickers & ball caps.
Coming up in June will be the 2026 Field Day, June 27-28 at the Spring Valley Lake Community Center. In July we will be dark, no meetings or events but there will be lots of Fireworks on July 4th, Happy 250th USA! In August look forward to our annual Ice Cream Social.

Join us at this month’s monthly meeting for a fun and fast-paced Ham Radio Jeopardy Game.
Test your knowledge of Amateur Radio, FCC exam topics, operating practices, and radio trivia in a friendly competition with fellow club members. Whether you’re newly licensed or a longtime operator, everyone is welcome to play, learn, and have a great time. Every player will receive a Certificate of Participation. The winning team will receive a Winners Certificate and bragging rights!
Come ready to participate, cheer on your team, and enjoy an evening of Ham Radio fun. We look forward to seeing you there!
All are invited to attend! Even if you don’t have an Amateur Radio License come on out and participate and learn more about the hobby of Amateur Radio!

It’s that time of year again! The annual ARRL Field Day for 2025 starts tomorrow. This Saturday & Sunday June 28 & 29. Location this year is at the High Desert Grange #593, 16682 Yucca St., Hesperia, CA 92345. Set up will start at 8am Saturday morning, event starts at 11am. The site will be available until 11am Sunday morning at the end of the event. So if you would like to work radios late night, early morning and have an RV, there is room for those also.

Vice President, Robert Barton, is requesting if anyone has a HF Beam Antenna, and could have it available for the event, there will be a portable antenna tower to attach it to. Please call Robert at 760-559-9300 as soon as you can and let him know. Also there will be a couple of EZ Up canopies there but if you have one that you can bring to the event, for additional shade also call Robert.

5pm will be the time for a BBQ and the Club will provide the meats, drinks, plates, & utensils. If you plan to attend, please bring a side dishes, desserts to share with others. There is a kitchen and nice dining area inside the Grange Building.

We thank Trudi & Mike Roser, with the Grange, for making this facility available this year! Also thanks to Robert Barton for working on getting this all arranged this year.

Get the word out about Field Day, it’s open to anyone who wants to get on the radio and might be interested in Amateur Radio.

The Club meeting is tonight June 17, 2025, 7pm at the Vista Del Rosa Clubhouse, 22241 Nisqually Rd., Apple Valley, CA 92308.
We will be pre-planning for the 2025 Field Day, June 28 & 29. This year VVARC will be setting up at the High Desert Grange #593, 16682 Yucca St., Hesperia, CA 92345. For those who want to operate radios throughout the night and early morning, this will be available at the Grange location this year. Have an RV? There is space for these at this location.
A reminder that after Field Day the Club is Dark, no meeting in July. Then in August we will start back up again.
