It is time for another update.
I will try to divide the update into groups to make it easier to follow. So -
Google:
*** It seems that all pages had been crawled.
*** Index in webmaster unfortunately, still shows only one page as indexed (even though from other signals it looks like more pages had been indexed already)
*** Some of links pointing to our site had been found and registered. Backlink count: 4
*** And the most important event of the day is that we got a first visitor from a search (search phrase unknown yet).

Bing
*** It seems that all pages had been crawled.
*** Index in webmaster shows only two pages indexed so far
*** Backlink count: 9
*** As of yet we did not get any hit in a search yet.

Alxa (a standard webpage ranking site)
*** From the initial ranking in 23 mil + we are now to 12,622,716 (roughly cut by half)
*** Some of our backlinks started to show up. Backlink count: 3

We are now 2 weeks into the experiment and slowly but surely our time line starts to emerge.

My last post was on the 21st, now three days later the time has come for an update. As you could guess from the post so far, optimizing a web page is a "hurry up and wait" process - you do the next step as soon as you can and then you have to wait for any results coming back to you. And today we got a peek at the google indexing progress (Bing crawled the pages, but indexed only one page - "nothing to write home about"). Now back to Google: It seems that we started to get some of the key phrases showing up in the search results - we only monitor anything in the 1st 100 results - and the result positions for our four key phrases are: 82, 77, 69 and, drum roll please, ..... 28. We still can't see any information about page rank, backlinks or the search results, now we wait some more. Also Alexa's information is not populated except our global rank (12,648,335) but this will change once google caches up.

OK, so I have a mini update to the previous post.
I checked webmaster for current status (both Google and Bing) and there are some good changes:

Google:
Shows 5 pages indexed on 01/18/2015 - all in all a week to get your website indexed.

Bing:
Now it confirms that between 01/13/2015 (3pgs) and 01/18/2015 it has crawled 5 pages. Nothing indexed yet.

Project "Lets Build a Website" http://mytop10bestsellers.blogspot.com/ update.

Many times people say that a quality content will eventually get a good ranking in search engines searches. They might be right but the key word is "eventually". And even then you will be competing against all other quality content sites, and if they are better designed and written in a "search engine friendly" way your site will not get ranked higher. In our test project we are trying to optimize the site for search engines and get it on the search engine radar as fast as possible. Here is what we got so far. Content optimized for search engine key word density and posted on 01/11/2015. Sitemap submitted to Google and Bing on 01/11/2015.
Google:
From the sitemap pages the 1st page picked up and crawled on 01/14/2015, the last of sitemap three pages crawled on 01/18/2015. The index and keywords not showing yet as of 01/21/2015.
Bing:
Sitemaps submitted on 01/11/2015. As of 01/21/2015 nothing showing in webmaster tools.

Currently working on a Twitter application - cdWorks hashTag Monitor. It will allow users to monitor hashtag conversations, limit to a custom list of people, limit by time frame (12;24;48h) or to most recent count, Reply, Retweet etc. Here is a fairly accurate UI (User Interface) mock-up screen shot. Do you have any sugestions, comments?
