Well, I just got another call from "Windows" and I let him lead me through the process, because I can't believe anyone still falls for this scam. He had me open a cmd prompt and type in "assoc" and then locate this number that is supposed to prove to me that he knows my Windows license number. I told him that wasn't my windows license number, and asked if he likes his job. He admitted he doesn't, he knows it's BS, but they pay him and he needs the money. So if anyone is looking for a software engineer, he's going to send me his contact info when he gets off work.

Another client just informed us that "Microsoft" called them to remove a virus from his computer. Microsoft will never call you out of the blue, this is a scam. We like to play with them and waste their time and then call them out for being hackers. You could be a Mac person and they'll call you. Please do not fall for this scam!
