Today is the day! The official launch of Brown Linen’s new site is finally here! It’s been a strange few months for all of us and BL has been no exception. I resigned from my last job to relaunch Brown Linen the week before the pandemic hit and as with everyone else, things got weird real fast. No one was hiring, much less connecting with a new business for rebranding. But thankfully, I have an amazing, supportive and clear-headed husband who helped me keep my head on straight and plow forward. A few months of quarantine and I was ready to launch the site. But then the riots began and it was more important to be silent and supportive than to relaunch a site. For as horrific as the last weeks have been, I’m grateful for the delay that it caused, because not only am I excited to launch the site today, but I’m honored to announce that in celebration of the launch, I’m doing a big giveaway for an entire BRAND PACKAGE! Our brand packages include: main logo, 2-3 sub-marks, color palette, font packages*, one mood board showcasing the overall brand, and a style guide. But here’s the the most exciting part - this giveaway is available ONLY TO BLACK OWNED BUSINESSES. Though my business is for all lives and all businesses, I feel that at this time in our history, it is critical to raise the equity and opportunity specifically for Black people where we can - and this is my little space where I can make a difference. Brown Linen has a unique opportunity to speak up and act on the injustice and the unacceptable inequality that has been plaguing our world and become a toxic environment for our Black brothers and sisters. I pray that this opportunity is not one that is tokenizing, but one that truly raises up important voices in our industry that need to be heard and also helps a very deserving business that needs some help with branding. So let today not be just a website launch, but a way to say that BLACK BRANDS MATTER. I encourage you to visit the new site at brownlinendesign.com (link in profile!) like an open house. Pretend I hand you a glass of champs as you walk in, you smell the beautiful floral notes of a volcano candle burning in the background, fresh flowers overflow out of vases everywhere and a yummy platter of meats and cheeses are available to nibble on at the kitchen island. And if you are a Black business owner, or a Black entrepreneur just launching a new business, be on the look out for the Black Brands Matter giveaway.
