There's a Star Wars poster for a movie that technically never existed — and finding one is a collector's holy grail. ⚔️

Return of the Jedi was originally titled Revenge of the Jedi… until George Lucas decided revenge wasn't the Jedi way and changed it. The already-printed "Revenge" posters instantly became coveted rarities. 🎬

WorthPoint's Ron Dawson spotted one at (of all places) a Star Trek convention, paid up — to his girlfriend's horror 😅 — and it's now the crown jewel of his collection, safely logged in his Vault.

⚙️🎸 Auction Insights: WorthPoint added 108,657 items worth $23.02M last week (avg lot $211.86)

The top lot hit $85,000 — and the two priciest finished less than $2,000 apart. 👀
⚙️ Bob Dylan welded-iron wall sculpture, c. 2013 — yes, that Bob Dylan (Rago Auction)
🏺 Qing dynasty cloisonné "Eight Treasures" phoenix-ear censer, ~141 lbs (Crest Auction House)
🪙 1907 Saint-Gaudens $20 High Relief double eagle (PCGS MS65) (DLRC)
🔮 Lalique "Chêne" crystal table designed by Marc Lalique (Hill Auction Gallery)

Turns out Bob Dylan runs a metalworking studio — one of these is his, welded from what looks like twenty pairs of pliers. And at the very top, a gold coin and a 141-pound Chinese censer finished within $1,800 of each other. Guess which one nudged ahead; that race was closer than it had any right to be.

🎰 Marks of the Week: Vegas Casino Chips Edition 🎲

🌴 The Mirage chip — from the resort that launched the Vegas megaresort era in 1989… and closed its doors for good in 2024. Chips from a shuttered casino? Instant collector gold.

Two chips from a pair of Steve Wynn landmarks. The Mirage is now history — a Hard Rock is rising in its place — which makes its chips exactly the kind of thing collectors chase. Always bet on the real thing. 🎲

Hayden Panettiere has died at 36. 🤍

From child star to Claire on Heroes to Juliette on Nashville, she grew up on our screens. In her later years she became remarkably open about her struggles with mental health and addiction — using her own hard experiences to help others feel less alone, and to push conversations about recovery forward.

That honesty may end up being her most lasting legacy. For the fans revisiting her films and music today, those keepsakes carry her story with them.
Rest in peace, Hayden. 🕊️

The top lot hit $960,000 — and you'd never guess what it's made of. 👀
🧵 Olga de Amaral Tierra y Oro No. 5 fiber sculpture, c. 1985 — wool, horsehair & gold leaf (Rago Auction)

Nearly a million dollars — for a textile: wool and horsehair worked with gold leaf. It beat a bronze lion bench, a Teddy Roosevelt war document that helped launch a presidency, and a growling muscle car. Guess how close it got to the seven-figure line; the answer's jaw-dropping.

A Disney park trash can sold for $12,200. 🗑️✨ No, really.

At D23 — Disney's ultimate fan event — Heritage Auctions ran a 50-lot sale that pulled in $705,709. The top piece was a Kermit the Frog theater figure from MuppetVision 3D ($115,900), tied to the last project Jim Henson worked on. 🐸

But the internet's favorite? Those beloved park trash cans. One from Tomorrowland went for $10,980, another for $12,200. Disney fans are a different breed (affectionately). 💙

A Michael Jordan rookie led — no surprise there. The shocker is what finished second. 👀
🏀 1986–87 Fleer #57 Michael Jordan rookie (PSA Gem Mint 10) (SCP Auctions)
🖋️ Ben Corday hand-painted tattoo flash design book, c. 1918 (Bray & Co. Auctions)
🍽️ 124-piece 1870s Bordeaux "Nella" French dinner service (Antikeo)
🦁 Matched pair of life-size bronze standing lions (South Jersey Auction by Babington Auction Inc.)

The Jordan card's the headliner — but a 45-page book of hand-painted tattoo designs from 1918 outsold a full French dinner service and a pair of six-foot bronze lions. Guess what the tattoo book brought; the runner-up order is the real twist here.

52 giant painted beavers. One World Cup. $170,000 for charity. 🦫🇨🇦

Toronto scattered fifty-two four-foot beaver statues across its Old Town for a World Cup scavenger hunt — each one hand-painted to represent a competing nation. When the "Great Beaver Quest" wrapped, they went to auction. The top seller? A maple-leaf Canada beaver at $10,025. 🍁

Even the Spain beaver (this year's champs) sold for $3,200. All proceeds go to local charities. Peak Canada, honestly.

Jewelry looks amazing in person and impossible in photos. 💍 Here's how to fix that.

Round five of our photo series tackles the fussiest subject of all — small, shiny, AND sparkly all at once. The tricks:
🧽 Clean it first (macro shows every fingerprint and dust speck)
☁️ Soft light for the metal, then one small directional light to wake up the stone
📏 Add a "worn" shot — on a finger or wrist — so buyers see the real size
🔍 Get the hallmark, clasp, and settings up close

Flat light kills the sparkle. A little angle brings it to life.
