Most agent cost problems start at the architecture stage. Not in production.

By the time you notice runaway token costs, redundant tool calls, or context window bloat, the architectural decisions that caused them are already baked in.

We published a guide on AI agent cost optimization: how high-performing teams address it before it gets expensive to fix.

"Human-in-the-loop" is a principle, not a process.

And most teams treat it like a process they've already solved.

Having a human review AI output isn't the same as having a governed cycle where human judgment is embedded at the right decision points with the right authority to intervene.

Enter the GenDD Ex*****on Loop: Context, Plan, Confirm, Execute, Validate.

The process that turns the principle into practice.

Everything that is not agentic these days is literally legacy work.

That's Tiago Azevedo, CIO of OutSystems. And he means it.

The old playbook of layering foundations, re-architecting legacy systems, and modernizing over months or years? Dead.

Today you bypass the mess. You layer agents on top that fill the gaps between broken systems and solve the actual business problem.

On this week's Talking AI, Tiago and Matt Paige get into why saying no is the easy path for CIOs (and the wrong one), how his team built Deal Mate (a team of agents that preps sales reps for meetings), and why OutSystems just launched a way to vibe code your way through enterprise app development.

Vibecoding is incredibly fast.

But speed without governance will cost you more than it saved.

GenDD delivers the same AI-powered speed with architecture, testing, and governance baked into the flow. The difference isn't the tooling. It's the methodology.

The question isn't how fast you shipped. It's whether what you shipped can survive production.

Some of the best moments at HatchWorks AI happen far from a screen.

Last week, Brandon Powell, Juan Carlos Valverde, and Fiorella Arias visited FundaciΓ³n Casa de los NiΓ±os in Costa Rica, a foundation that supports more than 300 children in one of the most underserved areas of the country.

The team delivered sports equipment to help fuel the games, the laughter, and the everyday joys that every kid deserves.

This is what HatchFutures is all about. Using our platform, our people, and our presence to invest in the communities where we live and work.

To the entire team at Casa de los NiΓ±os, thank you for the incredible work you do every single day. We are honored to support your mission

Your SaaS product relies on brand, demos, and sales relationships to close deals.

Now imagine an AI agent handling procurement. It doesn't care about your brand. It evaluates capabilities, pricing, and API documentation at machine speed. Your competitor's agent-friendly product gets selected before your sales team even gets the call.

We published a guide on preparing for agent-mediated B2B commerce before 2028.

Design isn't a step.
It's a process with phases.
And most builders skip the most important one.

Thomas Schlossmacher, founder of Resonant, says the first phase is just inspiration.

What inspires you?
What do you love?
How can you build a system around that?

Most people jump straight to building and wonder why the result doesn't feel intentional. The inspiration phase is where taste begins.

The most important AI question of 2026 might not be which model is the smartest. Itmight be who already has the users.

At Google I/O 2026, Matt Paige and Kashank Agrawal unpacked a strategic reality that often gets lost in the model-benchmark conversation.

Google announced that AI Mode reached a billion users in its first year.
That number is not a product story. It is a distribution story.

Every other AI company is working hard to convince people to come to them.
Google did not have to. People were already searching.
AI Mode just met them there.

Kashank made the point that Google is not pulling people toward AI. It is delivering AI to where people already are.
That is a fundamentally different playbook than the rest of the industry.

For builders, founders, and enterprise leaders, the lesson is worth sitting with.
Capability matters.
But reach decides who actually shapes how the world uses this technology.

How to build taste as a solo founder:

Thomas Schlossmacher, founder of Resonant, shares his exact process in this clip from Talking AI.

Three inspiration sources: Twitter/X, Pinterest, and products released in the wild (Hacker News, friends, the internet). Mood board the pieces you love.

Then build a design system from them using shadcn, an eight-point grid system, and an AI skill that evaluates visual harmony, white space, and type scaling.

His secret: prompt the LLM to behave like it works for Apple and Vercel. Then ask it to reason through design frameworks and apply them to your components.

You vibe coded an app in minutes. It works. Looks great. Ship it.

Three months later: security vulnerabilities are discovered, the codebase is unmaintainable, and the rebuild costs more than building it properly would have in the first place.

Technical debt from AI-generated code accumulates 3x faster than traditional development. And most teams don't realize it until it's expensive to fix.

We published a full breakdown of the real cost of vibe coding.

You get one, maybe two chances with an AI product. If you don't win someone over in those first two interactions, they're gone.

Thomas Schlossmacher, founder of Resonant, says people churn so fast now. They jump between models, between companies, in seconds. And because anyone can build anything and make it look nice, the bar has never been higher.

His solution: taste. The ability to create something that feels intentional, refined, and trustworthy from the very first touch.
