Good Morning friends. We are busy packing up the store and slowly moving boxes to our new temporary home. We appreciate all the love and support we’ve received 🥰

We will be having a customer appreciation day on Saturday, May 30th, so please mark you calendar and remember to swing by for some love! ❤️ (… and maybe carry a box or 2 down the hall. 😉)

We will be in this new spot June and July, then will have to vacate the mall for good. We will keep you all posted on where we go from here, we have not yet decided.

UPDATE!!

After 20 years in the same location at Town Center at Aurora, we are being forced out of our space.

Another tenant wanted our location for his own phone repair business because of the strong customer base and reputation we built there over two decades. During the transition to new ownership, he was able to secure our space behind our back.

Spinoso Real Estate Group, the new ownership and management company, allowed this to happen without ever contacting us directly or informing the local mall management team.
​
We were later offered a temporary 13-month lease in a new location within the mall, but once again, that same tenant intervened. We have now been told we can remain in the new space for no more than two months because he does not want the competition.
​
It is deeply disappointing that one tenant can have this level of influence over who is allowed to operate in the mall. Mershops and the Spinoso Management Group would rather leave a space vacant and collect no rent than allow us to continue serving the community we’ve supported for over 20 years.
​
We want to be very clear that the local management team has been caring, supportive, and professional throughout this process. Unfortunately, their authority in this situation appears to be very limited.
