Want to know if you’re making a healthy profit without guessing? I’m sharing the easiest way to tell if a wedding is profitable in my new blog post! A quick check of 5 numbers is all it takes.
A real EveryStem member florist took her profit margin from 47% to 73% using this process. It resulted in a profit increase of $856 for just one wedding!!
If she does 20 similar weddings this year that’s an increase of over $17,000 in profit over the course of her annual EveryStem membership. (Oh, and the membership only cost her $249.99 🤯)
That ROI is a real flex 💪, IMO!

Same florist, same event type. Two very different profit outcomes. Her first attempt at using EveryStem for a wedding wasn’t a total bust, but at 47% profit margin this EveryStem member knew she had serious potential to increase her profit!

She reached out to me and I shared the EveryStem definitions page (it’s linked in the blog post for you) along with some tips on what to look for when she builds her recipes and finishes her flower orders. She gave it another go and got a radically different result. Her profit margin skyrocketed from 47% to 73% without changing her design style or spending a ton more time planning her recipes.
She’s falling in love with having a simple process and clear path towards making a healthy profit on all her weddings this year!

A process is the difference between surviving wedding season and loving it! 🥰
I’m sharing this proven process with you because I believe in community over competition and learning from each other’s experiences. This case study is proof that clarity in your numbers can make a massive difference in your business and your life.

Go to the top link in my bio or use screenshot the link and paste it into your browser to access the full blog post. You’ll get:
🍃 The full case study
🍃 The 5 indicators of profitability

You don’t even have to use EveryStem to do this, but it makes it a heck of a lot easier.

POV When your client falls in love with copper beech and wants to use this gorgeous design as inspiration for their colorful fall wedding reception!

You dream about planing profitable recipes, exporting your lists and notes easily, and your team executing flawlessly without you even having to be there! 😴

But, it can be your reality!!

Here’s an example of the EveryStem Recipe Export Summary Page. Your team can use this to check off the list of designs as they pack the van! 🚐 You don’t have to be there micro-managing them.

The Ceremony Arch is going to be the highlight of the wedding and you’ve dreamt up a plan to color block like Mondrian and use negative space to KNOCK everyone’s socks off!! 🧦

But, how are you communicating that to your team?

EveryStem software makes sharing all your recipes, notes and details easy. Enter it all right into the event and share the Recipe Export! Your notes appear at the bottom of the recipe! Plus you can link to your inspiration images and email it to your team so they just click the link and see the pics! No wasted paper here.

The room transforms to reception with 5 round tables and that fabulous arch as a backdrop. Mono-floral copper beech centerpieces will be perfect for the space!!

No more running out of product because someone decided to use all the copper beech in the arch.

Build a system: Order, process, pull, allocate with EveryStem and watch how your team’s performance sky rockets!! 🚀 Link in bio to start today and get ahead on all your fall weddings!

Let’s say you design an arrangement that is an ideal mix of focal flowers, fillers, and lush greenery. You love it and you know lots of your clients will too…

Do you toss that recipe in the trash? 🗑️
Not if you’re an EveryStem member!!

I was just asking a new member if she’d used the Recipe Saving feature yet and she said she didn’t know how to do it. I swooped in and happily shared that saving a recipe to use for any future event takes 2 clicks in EveryStem!

To save a recipe:
🍃 Click the recipe header
🍃 Click the Save Recipe button

And to drop a saved recipe into an event:
🍃 Click add column
🍃 Click the from recipe button
🍃 Pick the recipe you want to add

Can making money doing what you love get any easier than that?

🌿 Florist Hack: Start saving recipes and reusing them. It’s a game-changer because it saves time, standardizes your process, and boosts your profits!

It’s a heck of a lot faster than starting from scratch and with the swap item feature you can change flower colors and varieties with just a couple clicks too!

Start now before the fall season ramps up. Link in bio to learn more. 💕

If your sound is off right now you can’t hear me say, “I’m taking this video to look for holes…” 🕳️

In our last group conversation some of you were surprised to know that the little camera built into your phone 📲 houses a super useful florist hack.

Your camera 📷 serves a purpose more useful to you than just taking IG videos.

Here’s what it helps you do as a floral designer!!

🍃 It flattens the design from 3d to 2d so you can easily see the overall shape!

🍃 It makes dark spaces and sections clearly visible.

🍃And it shows you where the imperfections lie, so you can decide if they are the kind of imperfections that make the design unique or the kind you want to remove (like the broken stem of delph you see at the end of the video)!!

In this Austin Wedding Florist | Grand Lady Floral arch that our team designed on-site The Driskill | Austin, TX there were a few places we added, adjusted, and removed florals after viewing this video!

They were minor, but IMO those last minute tweaks are what separates and elevates fabulous floral designs from mediocre ones.

And if you hire freelancers to work on your events, a quick text with an image or video allows you to edit ✍️ an image 🚫 and give feedback without having to actually be in the room with them. 😉

Do you take images and video of your bouquets and installations before final tweaks?

If yes, what’s your best tip for using the camera 📷 to your advantage?

If not, give it a try on your next large installation and let me know how it changes your perspective!
