"I discovered the immense healing power of activism through my journey as a veteran. It provides a pathway to emotional healing because it provides purpose, builds connections, and alleviates emotional burdens. I’ve found this to be true for anyone, regardless of their background. It’s a transformative journey accessible to all.⁠

I’m in Raleigh, North Carolina, an area steeped in activism. I first got involved with local initiatives before broadening my scope to national endeavors. My primary focus is on veteran’s issues, but I’ve extended my voice to a diverse range of causes.⁠

The two groups I’m most deeply involved with are and , both of which work to ensure fair redistricting and equitable representation in the democratic process. I also support relief efforts through and the Refugee Support Center.⁠

THIS THURSDAY! Come on down to Austin for the first Community Organizer Meetup. Thursday, November 17th from 6:30pm-8:30pm at Ani’s Day and Night!

This first month we’re talking with , , and about ongoing local elections but this monthly event will be learning and meeting with local organizers of all kinds! Austin is full of people who put time and energy into connecting neighbors, whether through setting up free fridges, hosting clothing swaps, or registering people to vote. We want to connect the connectors, every month!
