🔐 The current US administration has recently released the National Cybersecurity Strategy Implementation Plan (NCSIP), aiming to strengthen their nation's digital defenses 💻
This strategy is based on two significant changes:
1) Major entities, both public and private, will share the burden of mitigating cyber risk;
2) Investments in cybersecurity will be incentivized.
The plan includes over 65 high-impact initiatives, targeting everything from combating cybercrimes to building a skilled cyber workforce 👥 🌐
Here are five pillars of the plan:
✅ Defend critical infrastructure
✅ Disrupt threat actors
✅ Shape market forces
✅ Invest in a resilient future
✅ Foster international partnerships
For example, efforts to combat ransomware will continue, with resources offered to high-risk targets like hospitals and schools. Through this plan, the current US administration aims to increase transparency in software supply chains as well as create quantum-resistant public-key cryptographic algorithms 🔒
