How long does it take to design a brand? 🤔
Well, sorry, Amazon Prime addicts and instant gratification junkies, but it's not an overnight job. 🙅🏻♀️
Nor should it be! This is the foundation and face of your business, it's something you want to take care with, not rush. ⏳
A good designer will help you slow down and be strategic with your branding. They'll get to know your business inside and out, and help you clarify your core brand if you haven't done that already. This gives both parties a much clearer idea of what the other pieces of branding should aim for, including the design. 🎯
A good designer will also take time to research your industry and competition, to see what else is being done, and how your business can be better or different and stand out. 📝
Then, they will get to work trying to translate all of this information into the visual forms that will work best for your business: a Look that will attract your ideal audience, make you recognizable, and perfectly capture the vibe you want for your business. 😎
This all takes time and intention, so when you're looking to brand your business, be sure to plan accordingly. ⌚
For example, my branding timeline can take anywhere from 3-4 weeks for a logo and brand guidelines, to more like 12 weeks if we're building out across other platforms, too (social, print, web). 📆
You can help keep your branding project on track by being diligent about your core brand homework, being prompt with feedback or revision requests, and generally making sure your designer has everything they've requested from you in order to do an awesome job.👍🏻
