Dear Valued Clients,
As you are aware, our services were down along with many of your services hosted with us for more than 42 hours. This outage had occurred due to Hurricane Helene storm hitting the NC region. Our data center facility was impacted with carrier connectivity because of a power outage within the region.
We ensured that the data center and all your services and servers remained operational during this time. Our backup diesel generators were running as needed. The high-efficiency UPS systems were also functioning as expected to provide stability during any power fluctuations. We wanted to clarify that the facility DID NOT lose power at any point during the storm. The data center's power lines are connected to emergency services, so power for the entire facility was restored as soon as the emergency grids were fixed yesterday.
However, the external infrastructure surrounding the data center has been significantly impacted by the hurricane. This includes widespread power outages and severe damage to carrier networks, which has affected connectivity. Despite our multiple entry points, the external carriers’ infrastructure had not been fully restored.
Currently, all the services and carrier connectivity are restored. All services should be operational now. We request you to check and ensure that all your services running with us are back up and running. If you are still having any connectivity issues, then open a support ticket or write us on [email protected].
We thank you for showing trust in us, and we highly appreciate your patience in this hard time. We are happy to have such valuable clients with us. We once again apologize for this situation and thank you for your support during this hard time.
Sincerely,
BigBox Support Team
