We want to give a TREMENDOUS shout out to Super Fresh for supply us with 90 begonia plugs for our “blooming thoughts” planter project this week! Without their help, this project would not have been possible. Please tell them thank you next time your are there, shopping local!

That’s a wrap on our first week together! Today Danielle helped introduced the first-timers to “sally squats,” then had us playing a running game of cat and mouse with giant beach balls! We ended our movement with a teamwork challenge. Inside the girls decorated their folders for the summer and then planted their flowers in the pots they decorated with positive thoughts yesterday. We ended our day with a pass the banana relay!

Day 2 - We got our first real run in of the season and the rest of the day was all about getting to know each other playing Friendship Wheel of Fortune and learning about “weed thoughts” and “flower thoughts” (aka positive self-talk). The girls decorated some pots with their own thoughts to help them bloom…stay tuned tomorrow to see what else they do with them!

Day 1 is in the books!! It was chilly this morning, so not many pictures outside. We worked on getting to know each other and our new space! Best of all the Zonta Club of Austin came and handed out bags for the girls filled with self-care goodies and the girls spent some time checking those out!
