Software buyers are still experimenting with AI, but that doesn’t mean they’re skeptical. According to our newest report, 94% of buyers who use AI find it helpful or very helpful. Our report also found:
- 80% use AI for early research, the most common use case
- 61% use AI to compare products
- 15% use AI to make the final decision

That means it’s incredibly important to prioritize content that answers the questions buyers are likely asking AI tools like ChatGPT and Copilot. It’s all about increasing your chance of being cited by an LLM.

80% of B2B buyers now use AI search instead of Google. It’s a crazy-but-true stat that our own Tanner Judge shared in our recent session, The Product Lab: A Live Working Session for Product Leaders.

And it says everything about how fast buying behavior is changing. AI now drives discovery, evaluation, and purchase decisions. It shortens timelines, simplifies research, and shapes what buyers expect next.

Visibility isn’t about SEO anymore. You have to be trusted enough to be cited where buyers actually look. Google now sends 1 click for every 1,500 pages scanned. And tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude are surfacing reviews and real-world experiences, not marketing copy.

Read our blog to see what it takes to show up where it counts.

The days of SEO are numbered. But what does that mean for visibility? As traditional search declines and AI assistants become more of the norm, it’s starting to look different.

Now, it’s all about being trusted, visible, and verifiable enough to appear in AI-generated results. Our B2B buyer report shows just how important this shift is:

- 82% of buyers already had a top product in mind when building their short-list.
- 70% ended up purchasing that same product
- 79% of all buyers, and 89% of enterprise buyers, knew about their chosen product before they began their research

In other words, buyers aren’t discovering — they’re confirming. And as AI is becoming the new first stop for information, this pattern is here to stay. Our blog, Show Up Where It Counts: Understanding AI Visibility in Search, covers this topic and more.

The software buying journey isn’t linear anymore. As Shekhar Chawla, Chief Product Officer at Vendr, says in our recent session, buyers now go beyond making a final decision through the use of AI tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity. They use them to explore.

It’s a dynamic loop of discovery: learning about products, comparing options, and diving into pricing.

In other words, AI is reshaping how buyers ask, and how product leaders respond.

Our recent report, From Buzzword to Backbone: How AI Is Powering and Redefining B2B Search and Buying, makes it clear that AI is becoming the status quo in work, buying, and beyond. But what’s next? We think:
- Tools that truly improve workflows will thrive, while unnecessary AI add-ons will fade fast.
- Google’s dominance has slipped: Brands will need GEO strategies to stay visible.
- Content is still king: Even without direct clicks, your content shapes how AI presents your brand across channels.
- The exchange will change: As AI relies more on brand content, we may see pressure for value flow back to creators.

There’s much more to explore in the full report: https://bit.ly/4nB0R8k

Do you know how to choose between firewall and antivirus software?

Firewalls act like gatekeepers, blocking suspicious traffic from ever reaching your network. Antivirus software, on the other hand, scans your devices to detect and remove malware that’s already slipped through. Both play a critical role, but they protect your business in very different ways.

Have you noticed any gaps that need addressing in your business's cybersecurity measures? We have reviews for both firewall and antivirus products from real users like you, so you can know what will work best for your organization.

Read our blog, Firewalls vs. Antivirus Software, for more information: https://bit.ly/4oyUwuC

Firewalls guard against external, network-level attacks, while antivirus software eliminates internal, device-level malware.

If AI is going to summarize your product, make sure it’s learning from your content. In our recent session, The Product Lab: A Live Working Session for Product Leaders, Pete Bartlett, Director of Product at Ortto, shared how his team is rethinking content strategy for the AI-first landscape:

- Shift toward FAQ-style and interview format content
- Create rich, scannable resources, full of expert insight
- Protect your brand narrative from being rewritten by competitor comparisons

Effective brand outreach is shifting from SEO to AI visibility. Here’s who’s leading the way in using AI during the buying process:

- 51% of Gen Z buyers
- 65% of C-suite executives

These two groups are driving the shift toward AI-powered search. To stay visible in a post-SEO world, brands need to show up where these buyers are looking.
