Today we received one of the most convincing phishing emails we've seen in a while and it’s a perfect example of why traditional DNS filtering isn’t enough anymore.

This one looked like a legitimate DocuSign request at first glance. The links weren’t to obviously questionable locations, they were redirects hosted on AWS and Google. A common DNS filter would let that traffic straight through.

And that’s exactly how account takeovers happen.

Once you click, you’re pushed into a “Microsoft 365 login” page that looks identical to the real one. At that point, the only thing standing between the attacker and your credentials is your browser security, not your DNS layer.

This is where ClearPath’s modern web security makes the difference:

Another day, another password leak.

This time, 1.3 billion unique passwords were exposed in one of the largest data dumps ever discovered.

Reflecting on the number of discussions I had last night at an event about the urgency of CMMC compliance, I couldn’t help but notice a theme:
