Reflecting on the number of discussions I had last night at an event about the urgency of CMMC compliance, I couldn’t help but notice a theme:
Many of these “new requirements” are really just standard IT controls — the kinds of security and infrastructure solutions businesses should already be using to protect themselves.
The difference now is that the Department of Defense is making them mandatory and enforceable by 2026.
