Google is changing the way people find information online, and the ripple effects could be huge for businesses of every size.

What happens when the hosts become the guests? 🎙️

For this one, Ric Tyler and Dan Cashman turned the microphones on each other.

The stories behind the stories, how they each got here, what they’ve learned along the way, and as always, a few laughs mixed in.

A fun one and probably the most Ric & Dan episode yet.

Today we remember the heroes who gave everything for our freedom.

Memorial Day is more than the unofficial start of summer. It’s a moment to pause, reflect, and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. 🇺🇸

To those who served, those we’ve lost, and the families who carry their legacy forward, we thank you.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

🌤 Sunday Thoughts

Tomorrow is Memorial Day.

We get excited about this one. The unofficial start of summer. A long weekend. Time to plant the flowers, clean up the camp, haul out the grill, and unpack everything that's been waiting all winter.

And that's good. But this day exists because of something bigger than the weekend. It represents the ordinary people who made extraordinary sacrifices for people they would never meet. Who gave everything so we could do everything.

That's worth a pause.

Not just remembering them, but thinking about what we do with the lives and opportunities their sacrifice helped protect. How we show up. How we lead. How we treat the people around us.

Gratitude works best when it actually changes something in us. 🇺🇸

Wishing you a meaningful Memorial Day. We'll see you Tuesday. 😊

Lights. Cameras. A whole lot of editing. 🎥

Proud of the work this team has been putting out lately.

Here’s a look at what the AV team at Sutherland Weston has been creating over the first quarter of 2026, featuring projects for the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce, Bangor Savings Bank, Maine Potato Board, and the University of Maine Alumni Association.

A lot of talent, problem-solving, creativity, and behind-the-scenes work goes into every shoot, and this reel captures just a small piece of it.

Give the team some love. 👏

Customer service is not a “nice extra” anymore. It’s the difference between people coming back… or never coming back.

This week on The Briefcase, Ric Tyler talks about why every customer matters more right now than businesses may realize.

A lot of businesses are still communicating like it's 2019.

The market moved. Customer expectations moved. Attention spans definitely moved.

Meanwhile, Maine added 31,000+ jobs, aerospace manufacturing jumped 170%, and economic growth keeps climbing. But many Mainers still say business growth is the state's biggest problem.

That gap between reality and perception? It matters more than most businesses realize.

The newest edition of The Strategy Brief breaks it all down:
• Why Maine’s growth story isn't landing
• What strong customer service actually does to revenue and loyalty
• A Leadership Spotlight from Shari Smith and Robin Stevens-Brasslett of Modern Image Salon on building a business people would genuinely miss

Everything here to make your business smarter.

“We’ve heard it all, seen it all, been through it all.”

After 27 years in business, Shari Smith and Robin Brasslett of Modern Image Salon have earned the right to say it.

When COVID shut everything down, they didn’t go quiet. They showed up. Weekly Facebook Lives. No appointments, no revenue, just connection.

That decision says everything about why they’ve lasted.

On this episode of The Ric and Dan Show, Ric Tyler and Dan Cashman get into what actually builds a business that sticks and why relationships matter more than anything else.

Also, Ric got his hair done for this episode. You be the judge.
