Thank you to all of the community volunteers, planning committee, and in-kind donors that helped with this mural.

“Spirit of the Prairie”
Explore rolling farm fields, giant sunflowers, native grasses, cattails, flowing water, and a monarch butterfly across the walls of this historic gas station. Inspired by the beauty and peaceful countryside of Henning and the Otter Tail lakes country, the mural celebrates the regions landscape and the Landmark Center’s commitment to learning, gathering, and artistic expression. The community mural was made possible through grant funding from the Lakes Region Arts Council through a Minnesota Legacy Arts & Cultural Heritage Grant.

The Henning Landmark Center murals are complete! We covered almost 1000 sq ft with paint and filled 80 volunteer shifts to get this painted within 6 days. What a fun addition to Henning and the Otter Tail Lakes Country.

It’s painted just in time for the Landmark Corn Feed this Thursday from 5-7pm. Explore the whole building with a flowing landscape across the sides, giant sunflowers and a monarch in the courtyard.

Thanks to all the volunteers and donors that helped this project come to life!

"I knew my brand would be a bit of a challenge. As a sauna + cold plunge studio, I faced the difficulty of seamlessly combining two opposing forces... hot and cold. The colors are opposite, the moods are contradicting, the images contrast. How do we make a logo and brand that brings both together seamlessly?! Chalsey was up for the challenge. We talked thoroughly about not just the look, but the feel. We tested and integrated and somehow she was able to take wildly opposing elements and beautifully turn them into one united brand.

As we worked through revisions, I was impressed by how Chalsey could adjust images on the spot while we were together looking at her computer screen. She quickly made edits and tweaks in real time as I gave her thoughts and ideas. As a visual learner, this made it so much easier for me to grasp ideas and quickly decide what would work and what wouldn't. This got us to the final result much quicker than continual back and forth emails and meetings. I really appreciate her talent in that way.

What was immensely helpful that Chalsey did for me was creating example mockups of how my logo and brand would appear in the wild... on a t-shirt, in a social media image post, etc. This was key for me to see the full picture of my entire brand not just an icon image of my logo. Those example images continue to guide my inspiration as I create my own social content, apparel, website, and more. Chalsey has a unique ability to unlock small business owners' own creativity.

With Chalsey's help, I now feel so confident in my brand. It has created for me a professional launch point with a solid foundation for all the future growth and ideas I have planned for my business." - Michaela Schell, Immersion Sauna + Cold Plunge Studio

Check out the new logo and brand kit for Immersion Sauna + Cold Plunge Studio!

Since meeting learning about Immersion, I've been very intrigued of the concept. I've seen it shift hands and locations, but the concept has stayed the same. It was built as a business to help all sort of people worth through life's tough moments. Hearing the testimonials of how the hot / cold therapy has helped people with PTSD and even suicidal thoughts go from hopeless to hopeful. It's a science backed therapy that takes a bit of courage.

Thanks for trusting me with this brand project Michaela! I'm happy to support a business that creates such drastic and healthy change in the community.

The logo features an ice cube shape, fire, and a little water droplet to show the blending of hot and cold.

The color palette goes from warm orange-reds to cool blue teals.

The social media graphics use the gradient, a charcoal overlayed background, and feature bold text.

This was a fun one!

If you are looking for a revitalization of your logo, I'd love to chat about the possibilities.

Here is what Michaela had to say about the experience: "With Chalsey's help, I now feel so confident in my brand. It has created for me a professional launch point with a solid foundation for all the future growth and ideas I have planned for my business."

You know what's hard... trying to create a logo that combines two completely opposing forces! If you want to hear the thoughts that were behind this change, here you go...

Hot and cold are equal representations of Immersion. And just like french fries dipped in a Wendy's Frosty... even though they shouldn't work, they somehow go great together.

We needed to get those elements to fit.

I loved how our first logo melded them into one. So with our updated version, I wanted to create the same effect but with a more polished, professional look.

First, cold. There are really only a few ways to visually represent cold... blue, ice, snow.

Upon first glance you might miss it, but our new logo makes a subtle nod to the ice cube of our first logo in its shape! Ooo... Easter egg!

Second, the flame. It's obvious and beautiful. But the inside... not a flame but a droplet of water. Maybe you noticed that??

Third, the gradient. Orange and blue are opposite each other on the color wheel. While they don't "match" they are complimentary and create a pleasing contrast.... JUST like sauna + cold plunge. The gradient adds a little unexpected, a little boldness, and a logo that stands out rather than melts into the background.

I think it perfectly pays homage to the past while moving Immersion into the future beautifully bringing together two opposing elements in a complimentary way.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Special thank you to Chalsey at Full Mood Studio for bringing this image into reality!

Thanks for the kind review Jack!

"We switched from our old website to our newly designed website on Wednesday, July 1st 2026. One of our creative team members had designed our website in 2020 which worked well with Eric our web administrator, updating as needed.

Chalsey Falk had joined our garden through a reference from a friend. She was instrumental in the formation of our Flower & Herb Collective. She also helped initiate a program Last Tuesdays which was a meetup the last Tuesday Jan-April covering many topics.

We found out about Chalsey's website design ability and she started a conversation with our governing board. We put together a committee of our Team Members to meet and discuss what our objectives for our new site should be.

Our goal for our new website was to make it easy for our viewers to navigate. We have a need for information for viewers to sign up for one of our 10 gardens. Also in the 20 years since inception we had added mini organizations to our Growing Together Community Gardens organization. Some of these are Tomato Seed Savers Club, Flower Herb Collective, Feeding Fargo Moorhead, Special Ops and others.

Our new site went live on July 1st. We were able to use our former domain to avoid any confusion with those who used our site in the past. The transition was smooth with the help of Chalsey navigating through any of the issues.

I highly recommend Chalsey Falk and Full Mood Studio if you are considering a new website are revamping your old site."

Hello new website!

After 6 months of time spent building, strategizing, surveying members, and working with the board and website committee, the Growing Together Community Gardens Website is officially launched!

I'm very grateful for the help from everyone who weighed in, gave feedback, helped create the valuable information included. This new site is just in time for the 20th year anniversary of the organization. Learn more about the roots of how it was formed on the about page. Starting from one garden in 2006 to help refugee families to ten gardens in 2026 with the latest addition being the Concordia Cornucopia garden in Moorhead.

I've been a big advocate over the past 3 or so years of this organization. I've enjoyed making new friends, getting in the dirt more often, and learning LOTS of helpful knowledge along the way. This org means a lot to me and I'm very grateful for the opportunity!!

And thanks to Lane Lipetzky-Swenson for introducing me to the organization years ago and thanks to Jack Wood for creating space to uplift me and other garden members throughout the years.

Check out the new website here!

And feedback is always welcomed, message me if you feel like the website could use another helpful resource or if something needs to be fixed.

Full Mood Studio is FIVE today!

I’m taking some time to reflect, celebrate, and look back at the past year. To every client, friend, and family member who has been there with me, challenged me, and supported this process THANK YOU🤍 I’m incredibly grateful for the growth and the shedding of old layers along the way.

Past Year Highlights:
🎨 Carlos Elementary Mural: I am still feeling euphoric from this one. With 120 kids, parents, and teachers helping out, it was incredibly rewarding to see the creativity and enjoyment from the kids as helped paint.
🏢 Entrepreneur District (Year 2): Having this office space and a supportive group of women business owners has been something I didn't know I needed. I’m continuing to offer website design, branding, and mural services, and this program keeps me connected and inspired.
🌱 Intermediate Herbalism: I completed an intensive summer camp training with Gigi from the Green Wisdom School, identifying so many plants and learning the importance of working with them.
🌸 Flower & Herb Collective: We planted 50 unique herbs at the Community Gardens. This year we are continuing to learn and build out our own home apothecaries.
🧺 Foraging & Preserving: I spent the year processing tons of veggies, harvesting bog cranberries, making ground cherry jelly, and preserving thousands of seeds. Next: more foraging and finally using my mill to grind wheat berries for homemade bread.
🚙 Travel Adventures: Cory and I went on an amazing road trip through Glacier, Banff, and Jasper National Parks last summer, and an incredible winter trip to Hawaii with a group of friends.

I’ve realized how important for me it is to integrate life and business. While I collaborate with clients across all industries, I especially love partnering with those focused on food, art, nature, culture, and wellness. Sharing those values makes the work grind so much more fulfilling. Thank you all for being here for the full mood journey.

Thanks for the lovely review:
“Chalsey is the absolute best person to collaborate with! Thanks to Springboard's recommendation, I reached out to Chalsey after receiving an artistic grant to create a professional website, and she exceeded every expectation. Not only did she design a beautiful new site, but she also expertly merged content from a separate, older website into this new space. What I appreciate most about Chalsey is that she is a gifted listener who asks the right questions before diving in. She put in an incredible amount of legwork before our meetings; she always arrived with diverse ideas for the design and layout ready to go. I was in awe of the massive amount of maneuvering she did to ensure my old content worked perfectly in the new layout, and she did it all with a fantastic, friendly attitude. I am thrilled with the final result and couldn’t have asked for a better partner for this project!”–Andrea V. Duarte-Alonso

Over the past couple of months I've been collaborating with Andrea on a website to support her writing and storytelling. She has this amazing project called "Stories from Unheard Voices" where she interviews immigrants and children of immigrants across Minnesota. The website started out simple, and of course I made it a bit larger to show off all of her experiences, talents, and partnerships. Andrea is a big community advocate and facilitates workshops, mentors kids, participates in fellowship programs, and has a full time role teaching on top of all of that. Through the lens of design, marketing and strategy, we built her brand visuals, celebrated her voice, and now she has an online space to advocate for more community work.

Check out her projects on her new website: andreavduarte.com

And, if you know any immigrants with stories to share, there is a form to fill out to get connected.
