A new chapter in life doesn’t always require starting from scratch.
We recently designed a West Loop condo for an empty-nester couple who were ready for more space and a new rhythm of living in one of Chicago’s most vibrant neighborhoods.
Instead of replacing everything, we honored the pieces they already loved. The furnishings that carried memories. The artwork that reflected their story.
From there, we layered thoughtful design elements throughout the home.
Soft wall coverings added depth. Area rugs grounded each space. Lighting was selected to shift gently with the rhythm of the day.
Texture became the unifying element. Organic materials, soft textiles, and subtle patterns all work together to create a home that feels calm, warm, and deeply personal.
SL Studio was responsible for the TVs and automated shade. It’s always such a seamless process working with them!
