Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Business Development Representative to join our team at Acadian Home Theater & Automation, the largest technology firm in Louisiana. This role is perfect for a driven individual with a passion for building relationships and generating new business opportunities within the residential technology space.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospecting & Lead Generation: Proactively identify and engage potential clients, specifically targeting architects and interior designers through cold calling, networking, and industry events.
Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, and other key stakeholders in the residential technology space to understand their needs and promote our services.
Sales Presentations: Conduct presentations and demonstrations of our technology solutions to prospective clients, effectively communicating the value and benefits of our offerings.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities to identify potential leads and refine sales strategies.
Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and technical teams to ensure alignment in messaging and to facilitate a seamless experience for clients.
Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline updates in our CRM system.
Goal Achievement: Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets through diligent effort and strategic planning.
Qualifications:
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in outside sales or business development, specifically targeting architects and interior designers.
-Proven track record of success in generating leads and closing sales in a B2B environment.
-Strong understanding of the residential technology market and its key players.
-Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine love for connecting with people.
-Highly self-motivated, determined, and goal-oriented mindset.
-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
-Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
