Gas prices are up?

That's cool(not really)
Our prices are not(really)

While every company in the country is using every excuse they can to raise prices and continue to roll into the profits, we don't.

For transparency, we billed 18,000 from June to the end of last year, 10 of that were parts. Leaving us with 8 in labor gross. Once we paid expenses(insurance, taxes, software, vehicle expenses) the net profit was sub 500 a month.

And yet still haven't raised our prices and won't.

Even with installing solar on our service trailer to be 100% self sufficient on power this year

Does it suck only being able to service 2 days a week? Yes it does, but to keep our prices low we still work a 9-5 that covers normal life expenses and bills.

Michigan has even increased repair facility fees and mechanic fees(goes into effect in july) while at the same time not protecting us from hacks with no licensing or insurance.

Our pricing is simple.

Car and suv: 50.00/hr
Truck: 65.00/hr
Commercial vehicles: 75.00/hr (no heavy over 10001 gvrw as we aren't licensed for those yet or diesel)

50.00 call out fee
50.00/ hr diagnostic fee.

We do regular and commercial repairs and are a wheels/lease plan preferred vendor.

We do NOT work on certain foreign makes(BMW, Mercedes, audi, etc)

We offer an industry standard of a 12 month/12k mile warranty on parts and poor workmanship(this does not cover wear items or neglect)

But are also in talks with several companies to add up to 24 months.

We also have noticed that our phone provider has been extremely unreliable with service being unreachable for days. We have rectified that(and are changing the number here on facebook)

Right now we are focusing primarily on braking systems and suspension systems. Other pairs such as minor engine, alts, starters, etc will be on a case by case basis.

Understand we schedule a week in advance. Unless your situation is an emergency(case by case basis) ie if you contacted us today we are going to schedule you for next Wednesday.

We dont accept dhs repair vouchers(at this time as we do not know how those work)

We accept cash and card only. No checks.

Since I dont do anything with ac, I need someone to come out to me and evacuate the freon in a 2009 Ford escape xlt.(is im not dropping thousands for a piece of equipment I'll never use.. maybe if I were in Florida or texas...)

That's it just suck it out, so I can pull this motor out of my s**tbox with a broken frame.

2018 jeep wrangler unlimited sport.

Didn't get pictures because I'm a do**us...

However diff fluid change in front and rear and oil change...

Here's my problem and why I can't stand one stop l**e shops, he had the diff fluids changed at a one stop...

Rear.. drain plug barely tight, fill plug... over torqued.. what's even worse somehow they way over filled it plug shot out and atleast a half a quart came out...

Front was even worse, way under filled. I drained less then half a quart, here's the thing unless you have a long flex funnel(or a transfer pump) you have to pull suspension parts to access the fill hole properly otherwise you're only going to get a half a quart ish in the system. So they were lazy.

If we're going to do a job, let's do it right. It's not a hard concept.

Another shop told him he needed..

Both uppers
Rearward ball joints
Forward ball joints
Both front stuts
Wheel bearing on the rf

And quoted 3 grand.

They missed the fu**ed up rack and the ball joints and s**t look great pretty new,

They also missed a disconnected body ground when they reported "alot of cel lights on"

Yea a body ground isn't connected... its going to do that..

All he needs is the parts I listed up top

Permanent promotion:
Battle creek only, surrounding areas can get it also but mileage cost can not be waived(we charge 35 cents a mile outside of battle creek)

Doordash and shipt drivers:
For major repairs(suspension etc) recieve 10% off hourly labor pricing. Plus only pay our cost(sometimes it is lower then retail) on parts.

Tune ups:
Plugs, wires etc.
65.00(labor only) on vehicles that dont require the intake to be removed. Plus parts

85.00(labor only) on vehicles that require the removal of the intake.

100.00(abor only) for Ford Triton motors(Ford f150 and f250 as alot of these require fuel rail removal to access rear plugs)

Brake systems:
Now to be clear we NEVER recommend a pad slap and if your rotors are absolutely a mess we still won't, as just a pad slap can only last a few months and not covered under any warranty. And rotors that are really bad can be a safety issue even with a pad slap.(a pad slap is just replacing the brake pads and doing nothing else)

Pad slap:(labor only)
40.00 per axle

Pads and turned rotors(if turnable)
55.00 per axle

Pads & rotor reppacement:
55.00 per axle

For example ypu need Pads all the way around rotors are good and you wish to go with a slap.

You'll pay 80.00 in labor and pay for your Pads, if my cost on the Pads are 50.00 for the front and 40 for the rear you'll pay me 170 total.

If you have the same request and are in athens you will pay 181.90(170 for the parts and labor plus 11.90 for mileage (17 miles x .35 x 2))

This is just an example.

You MUST provide proof you doordash or do shipt to recieve this discount.

This is just one minor way we can give back to those who provide a service, and still be somewhat profitable.

With tax tine upon us, the vehicle scams are in full force.

Don't spend your tax refund on a vehicle just by word of mouth.

Wednesdays and sundays battle creek area obly, we will waive our 50.00 service fee to come out and inspect for you.

Just becuase it looks nice doesnt mean it is.

Things to look for(common scams)
New oil or recent oil change or they say "i just did an oil change"

This is the #1 method for hiding a blown head gasket. You'll need to take it for a minimum of 1 drive cycle(half hour) then recheck the oil. This won't detect a minor leak, but will show most.

Always take it for a minimum of a drive cycle to test it, if the seller refuse. Walk away it is your right, if there are any issues that illuminate the CEL they will illuminate the cel even if the codes are cleared

After the drive cycle run a scan tool on it, they could've pulled the bulb for the cel or it could be burned out.

Don't listen to the radio at all listen to the vehicle.

Listen for stuttering, roaring etc.

Your test drive cycle should include a highway at 70 mpg, some issues won't be oresent during low speed travel.

On chevy trucks look at the purge valve and canister vent see if theyve eve been changed if not plan on it, these are notorious.

On trucks with auto push button 4wd test it, find snow, these notoriously fail and youll never know until you need it.

On older grand prix, Bonneville and Ford mustangs all good cars nomatter the years check ALL 4 strut towers, these are notorious, and are not fixable(properly) if they are rotted out.

Stay away from the 1st gen cruze(08 to 15) they all have transmission and timing issues.

The equinox is a good vehicle, but be warned 08 to 13 all have vvt solenoid issues(there was a recall) easy to fix easy to get to but will blow the motor if not fixed.

Things to run away from..

Again oil change(see above)
"I just did a tune up"(this hides under lined issues and ypu should ALWAYS do a tune-up on every vehicle you buy)
My brother's uncle is a mechanic he said its good
"I just had the transmission flushed"
And...

No you can't take it for a test drive.

Don't over pay, compare both nada and kbb values and use your gut. Miles mean nothing.

A vehicle can have 80k miles and blow up
A vehicle can have 200k and run another 20 years.

Its all about how it was maintained. We inspected a 99 grand marquis with 95k on it, owner told the buyer it just needed a starter, it was ran with very little oil in it and siezed the motor up. He was out 2500 bucks as michigan does not have any laws for private sellers and used vehicles.

With the extreme cold weather haven't been doing much. As we are mobile only.

However just completed an oil change for a regular. Not much to write home about, but we do try to keep our regulars happy, 2018 jeep wrangler unlimited.

Tuesday will be a rad hose and maybe water pump on a 2011 Chevy silverado.
