There are a lot of unknowns and fear out there right now. For those of us under the age of 60 or without underlying conditions, it will most likely be mild. From the current numbers we have it is a big risk for the people in the high risk groups. If you are able to help someone in the higher risk group you may actually have a life saving impact on them. Let’s keep them safe. One way to help would be calling to check on them. Another would be to get them some groceries if needed and leaving them outside their door with some disinfectant to make sure they are virus free. But the most important way you can keep them safe is to stay home if you are sick so they don’t get it.
I hear a lot of talk about fear and events being cancelled, but not about how we can take this time and make it a positive. A lot of us will have extra time at home with our family and loved ones. It is a time when we can reconnect with them. We can also reconnect with people online. We may find that the things we thought were so important are not as important as the people who matter the most to us.
Alright, I rambled on enough. Be smart, help when you can, be grateful for our healthcare workers and make the most of this extra time we have.
