We were introduced to a new price optimization application by a massive ecommerce platform- it sounded great. As a for-profit business optimizing pricing is going to help us continue to grow. So... sure let's try it. Assumed it was going to update pricing for a period and report back... then I was given this explanation...

We will NOT engage in consumer price discrimination - if we offer one customer a publicly advertised price, every customer will get that price. It isn't RIGHT, it isn't the way we do business.
