What is a Tech Concierge?
A tech concierge is a patient, trusted, and broadly knowledgeable expert who helps individuals use their devices successfully without the headaches of neverending tech support calls.
Do you repair devices?
No. I’m not a repair service, but I can help you troubleshoot, saving you time and frustration by immediately determining if your device is even in need of repair.
I.T. has evolved into a vast discipline with many sub-specializations. Although I am a knowledgeable and experienced user of technology, I do not hold certifications. My expertise is in working with and understanding people's needs and how they can be met by technology.
Just like a concierge at a hotel, I’m here to make things easy and grease the wheels. Technology can be a quagmire and when you want to hand it off to someone, I’m an option you can use without banging your head against it or bothering that one tech-y friend.
If I can’t solve your problem directly, I know people who can. I will work with your warranty provider to ensure you’re treated fairly, get you the best possible deal on a repair, or when it’s practical, recommend a replacement device to suit your needs and budget.
Why do I need you? Can’t I just go to the store I bought my device from?
In some cases you can. Keep in mind I’m offering a premium service for people who hate dealing with lousy tech support and bad service. If that’s you, you already know the value I’m providing.
If you’re on the fence, here’s my pitch: Unfortunately many retail locations will use these kinds of interactions as opportunities to sell you on more expensive devices, extended warranties, or bloated service plans without actually solving your problem. As my customer at Bee Cave Tech Concierge, you have me working for you. I don’t get a commission and I don’t have quotas to fill.
More importantly, unlike a large retail chain, I understand that you need technology to fit into your life and not the other way around. A concierge is a knowledgeable advocate or guide whose job is to help you navigate their area of expertise. That’s the type of service I provide.
Are you a computer expert? Do you have any certifications?
Bee Cave Tech Concierge is a one family shop serving the Bee Cave and Lakeway area, run mainly by me, Kellen, with support from my wife Kristen, our two boys, and our dog. I (Kellen) have over 20 years experience writing manuals, troubleshooting hardware and software, and training frontline tech-support workers.
After recognizing the headaches my friends and family were encountering with their devices, I realized there’s opportunity in taking my experience from the corporate world and applying it to the home.

In an ideal world everything would “just work” and when it didn’t you’d be able to easily contact the person who sold it to you to receive the help you need.
Today many companies have moved their tech support to frustrating call-centres, use automated phone trees, or require bloated service plans that offer no personalised help or instruction.

You’re dealing with the owner. I’m charging what is fair for the time, frustration,and money I can save you. I don’t accept tips, subcontract to anyone, or surprise my customers with ”upsells."
