What if "misbehavior" is actually a missing skill? π
A replacement skill is a positive behavior we teach a student to use in place of a harmful one. Think of it like swapping the tool, not the kid. When a student feels frustrated, raising their hand instead of interrupting is a replacement skill at work.
The shift is small but powerful: from policing what we don't want, to building what we do.
