When people reuse the same password across accounts, a single leak somewhere else becomes a master key to your business. Attackers know this, and they test stolen passwords against everything.

Microsoft keeps the service running and protects against their outages. What happens inside your account is on you: a deleted mailbox, a ransomware hit, or a departing employee who wipes a folder is yours to recover from, and the retention window is shorter than most people expect.

The best phishing emails don't look like phishing.

They're short, they look like they came from someone you know, and they ask for something small and urgent. A gift card. A quick wire. A password reset. The whole point is to get you to act before you think.

A few things give them away almost every time:
- A sense of urgency that doesn't quite fit
- A sender address that's close but not exact
- A request to move money or share credentials
- Links that don't match where they claim to go

One rule stops most of it. Verify any money or credential request through a second channel, even when the email looks internal.

Recently, our team had the opportunity to support Inner County Outreach’s 40th Annual Golf Tournament, sponsor and celebrate the Harford County Chamber of Commerce’s 50th Anniversary and Gavel Exchange, and attend the Howard County Chamber Annual Meeting, where our very own James Shenton was honored for his commitment to the community.
