56% of proposals involve 6 to 15 contributors. 51% of teams say time is their biggest constraint.

ChatGPT can answer one question well. It can't tell you who still owes input, what's overdue, or whether legal signed off.

Your SOW review probably has more signoffs than your last board meeting.

Security checks compliance language. Finance reviews pricing. Delivery signs off on scope. Legal wants a look. Now AI adds its own review layer too.

Sales waits on all of it, usually right as the deal is closing.

51% of IT/SaaS teams say getting timely SME input is hard. Some proposal teams now coordinate 31 to 40 stakeholders on a single SOW.

A two-day hold at that stage doesn't read as thorough to a buyer. It reads as hesitation, and that's an opening for competitors.

Full data here:

Managed IT services teams lose revenue to slow proposals and SOWs. See what's causing the bottleneck and how top teams are fixing it.

Hey SMEs, we see you.

Every time a proposal stalls, you catch the blame. But you're not the problem. You're just buried in your own work and asked the same questions again and again.

The data backs it up: 88% of proposal teams say SME delays are their top bottleneck. The real fix isn't chasing SMEs harder, it's building a process that doesn't rely on you answering the same question from scratch every time.

Check out our latest blog for how high-performing teams are fixing this:

Learn what causes proposal bottlenecks, including SME delays, content search issues, and approval slowdowns, and how high-performing teams fix them.

AI has made it much easier to build something useful.

But useful is not the same as ready to own.

For proposal, RFP, pitch, and value-selling workflows, the real question is whether the business is prepared to govern the workflow, maintain the content, manage risk, support adoption, and keep improving it over time.

Our latest blog looks at how leaders can make smarter AI decisions by thinking beyond the prototype and asking one practical question: is this capability core to how the business competes and wins?

Teams miss RFPs because the process takes too long for the volume coming in. The hours run out before the responses do.

The process is still largely manual for most teams. Chasing inputs. Coordinating contributors. Even with AI in the mix, little about the overall process has actually changed.

Our Definitive Guide to AI in Proposal Management covers what's shifting and where the bigger opportunity sits.

Winning a professional services engagement is about much more than the proposal itself.

The real decisions about whether a pursuit is winnable happen much earlier, during the go/no-go discussion, in the strategy conversations, and in how your team comes together before anyone even opens a document.

If you skip that early pursuit groundwork, you can submit a proposal that answers every RFP question perfectly, and still does not give the client a clear reason to choose your team.

We cover this in our latest blog, and the updated Pursuit Process Checklist provides you with the practical framework to go with it.

Check them out at the link below.

What we’re seeing across AEC proposal teams at firms like WSP, TRC, and others:

It’s not just about responding faster anymore.

Teams are coordinating more people, working across more content, and being asked to personalize more without losing control of the process.

That breaks down pretty quickly.

Content lives in too many places.
Reviewers get pulled in too late.
Teams are already stretched.

The shift is pretty clear:

It’s less about writing faster and more about working with clarity, consistency, and control at scale.

This shows up pretty consistently across our customer base. If it’s helpful, there’s more detail across a few customer stories here:

Getting executive buy-in for software is hard when they're not the ones who'll actually use it.

But it's a little easier when you're connecting your team's pain to the business problems your execs are responsible for. It's revenue risk for the CEO, win-rate pressure for the CRO, ungoverned AI for the CIO, and content ROI for the CMO.

We recently updated our Executive Buy-In Guide to help proposal and BD teams make exactly that case, for each stakeholder and in their language.

If you're trying to modernize how your org handles proposals, pitches, or RFPs and need leadership behind it, grab it below.
