Researchers at the University of Virginia and Villanova University are studying the flow and odor topology of schooling fish to uncover novel interactions and sensing capabilities in biorobotic fish schools. In this Tecplot 360 animation, flow is visualized by the Q-criterion (blue iso-surface) and odor concentration dispersed by the body of the leader is visualized by normalized odor intensity (orange iso-surface). Our Tecplot User Conference in Japan was one for the books. Thank you to everyone who joined us in Tokyo, and an especially big thank you to our speakers:

- Dr. Kozo Fujii (Tokyo University of Science / JAXA) for opening with reflections on CFD visualization in a time of great change.

- Masatoshi Hirota, Xidong Hu, Prof. Taro Imamura, and Naoshi Kuratani for showcasing real-world applications from marine CFD to automotive aerodynamics.

- Dr. Philipp Bekemeyer (DLR) for closing with a compelling look at how AI/ML is transforming aerodynamic analysis.

Events like this only work because of a community that is curious, engaged, and passionate about what they do. We are already looking forward to the next one!

Honest question: how do you keep up with everything happening in the CFD world?

We started Contours because we wanted a simple way to keep Tecplot users in the loop. New releases, upcoming trainings, events, useful content. All in one place, no hunting around.

The future of urban air mobility just flew over New York City. 🚁

This week, Joby Aviation made history by completing the first point-to-point electric air taxi demonstration flights between JFK International Airport and multiple Manhattan heliports, navigating some of the most complex airspace in the world.

What makes this even more exciting for us at Tecplot? Joby Aviation uses FieldView to analyze the aerodynamic data that helps bring aircraft like this one to life.

Every quiet, zero-emissions flight you'll one day take across a city skyline started as data. Millions of simulation points that engineers had to understand, validate, and act on. That's exactly what FieldView is built for.

Congratulations to the entire Joby Aviation team on this incredible milestone.

One of Tecplot’s most underrated advantages is not a feature; it’s our people.

Our Tecplot support team is intentionally small by design. When you file a support ticket, you are talking to the same engineers again and again. These are people who learn your workflows, your challenges, and sometimes even your preferred solver settings.

Our team does not just answer questions, they also collaborate with you to move your work forward.

That's what sets us apart! Read more in our latest blog: https://okt.to/lUcbJL
