Hey all. I've been seeing an increase number of computers coming into the shop with a "virus" that tells you to call Microsoft and provides a number. This is a Scam, Microsoft will never request you to call them. All these scammers are doing is trying to access your bank account information, and taking money from you. If you have this message on your PC please do not call them. Just bring it in and have me take a look at it and usually I can remove it very cheaply. This is what the message will usually look like.

Hey All, It's been a bit since our last post. I want to take a moment to let everyone know whats been going on. Sadly a few months ago Nick passed away. In that time there was a lot of debate on what to do with the Computer shop. Sadly with the state that things were left and the state of the building we had to close that shop down.

Hi, I am Steve. Some of you may have talked to me in the past, some probably didn't know I existed. I was and still am a Computer Tech. I have been the guy behind the scenes. Diagnosing, Fixing, and building PCs for over 18 years.

I have decided that I wanted to keep doing that for our community. This type of work is all I know and love. So moving forward Answers will not just be called Answers, but we are going to be doing so much more.

We are going to be known as Answers Computers & Electronics Repair. This will let everyone know its not just computers we fix, but basically anything that falls in line with electronics. We have since relocated to 1613 Main St, Lake Como. But thats just a few doors down from the original shop. I want to at least keep some of the legacy alive with what Nick & I have built over the years.

Listen all you computer geniuses:
We keep getting people in with their computers in pieces,because they thought they could replace screens,keyboards,etc. They watched the you tube for giudance. What you all don' understabnd they do this all the time,and it looks reasonbly simple,but trust me its not. So, you bring your computer in in pieces,and its going to cost you more. Also ,we have people who bought the wrong parts beside,so more expense.
So you dont go to the dentist to get a haircut,so forget you tube,and bring it to us.

Well everyone, its still virus timeSome of us are still sitting in their houses,don't know why.We've had several calls for computer repair,and I tell them to bring it in,and their response is they're not going out much. I then tell them I cant fix it over the phone. Get real people .You dont have to live in a bubble.Get out and get some fresh air,its better for you.
One other thing,get the damn schools open kids are not high risk.They need to be in school Its the teachers union pushing for delays. Let the teachers wear the masks not the kids.We have become such a weak country,no one stands up for anything,Just cave in.Get the hell off your cell phones and see whats going on around you
