We had someone on our team say this the other day:

“Isn’t it wild that the Save icon is still a floppy disk… but half the world has never touched one?”

Back then, “saving” meant you were making a real choice. You’d label the disk, guard it like treasure, and hope it didn’t get eaten by the drive. 😬

Now saving is automatic, cloud-based, and everywhere… which is awesome - until it isn’t.

Because “saved somewhere” and “recoverable when it matters” are two different things.
