Can I Replace My Mac Battery?

Over time, your MacBook/laptop may have had a decrease in speed and efficiency. Often it's the battery. Your computer’s battery life has a limit and it can make your computer slower or not charge as long or even hold charge.

MacBook batteries are rated for a limited number of what are called ‘battery cycles.’ A battery cycle is when your computer uses the battery power of one full charge, but this doesn’t have to be all at once, it can be several partial charge uses.

As your cycle count for your battery increases, its performance tends to decrease. Once your battery reaches or exceeds its specified cycle limit, it may very well carry on performing well, but Apple estimates that around this limit is when your battery has a higher likelihood of failure.

If your battery fails at any time, whether it is new or well over its estimated limit, you may be able to have it replaced with a brand new one to regain your battery performance. We can also give it a deep cleaning! Contact Macs on Demand today to see if your battery can be upgraded or replaced.

We Help You With iCloud for Backup Storage on Macs

Backing up your data, photos, files and work is a must. Years ago we stored all these files on CDs, backup drives and floppy disks. Only to find out years later they don’t work and are obsolete.

Mac users have iCloud. Apple has a free (5 gigabyte) intro storage service for people who don’t have a lot of storage needs. For the people who need a lot more than 5 gigs or professionals/businesses, Apple offers low cost/high storage options.

Once a user sets up iCloud on their devices, all of their files are available on all synced devices. This can eliminate the possibility of files being lost through a specific device being damaged, etc.

In order to get the most out of iCloud and all of its functionalities, it must be setup and configured correctly on all devices that you wish to sync. At Macs on Demand, we know that this process is not always intuitive.
